Commercial Description:
We craft this much like a sculptor who uses only a hammer and chisel to shape stone into a masterpiece. Hoppe is spawned of these few essentials: barley, wheat, hops, yeast and water. This limited palette is an exercise in minimalism, with refined elements which are deliberately selected. This simple combination creates a golden shimmering brew infused with delicate aromas. The artful nature of this beer is exposed with the first taste. As the malt and hops created a composition of flavors, and elegant finish leaves an impression that your tastes will not soon forget. Don't be deceived by th innocence of Hoppe. Please enjoy in moderation.

Pours golden with off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, pale malt, and citrus hop. Flavor begins with sweet toffee and caramel and moves to some delicious citrus hops, finishing with bitter pine. Flavor is a little too sugary, but pretty damn good nonetheless.

Pours clear golden with one finger off white head that left good lacing to the bottom. Nice hop aroma of citrus and a little pine behind a sweet malt nose. Flavor starts sweet, but balances with a smooth hop bitterness sets a while on the tongue. Med. body and a little thick in the texture. Good beer that is well balanced and a pleasure to drink.

Pours a nice looking orange/yellow color with a nice white head and good lacing on the glass. Aroma is almost like sniffing a sweetened grapefruit while standing in a Christmas tree lot. There are a lot of different hops in this one, and they’re all playing in the nose of this beer. Flavor is a little sweet, but there are a lot of hops in this one. Backend is almost like a sour orange. the hops in this are almost overwhelming, but I think the malt backbone is just strong enough to support it. Good beer. Challenging beer.

fresh bottle supplied by bgburdman9... odd color...orange/yellow... pale apricot with a long lasting white head and lots of drippy lacing. really sweet aroma with notes of pale graininess, yellow peach, orange pith, light pine, grass and tea (or tea-like tannins). ouch... beyond cloying on the palate. flavors of floral orange blossoms, caramel, resiny pine and citrus all blanketed by a dense layer of residual sugar. piny finish is short lived. medium to full bodied from the sugars with a sticky mouth feel... all together unpleasant.

Great, fresh aroma of hops and wildflowers. Sweet malt in the flavor, but well balanced by bitter hops with flavors of grass, flowers, and herbs. The high abv is well hidden. Harsh on the palate in a good way, with the bitter hops lashing at the tongue and leaving a mild hop burn.

Opaque deep orange and gold with a slightly off white head. The aroma is massive grapefruit with some almonds and apples. The taste has some grapefruit rind and sharp bitterness in the finish. There is a little bit of sweet caramel, but it gets slapped back down by the bitterness during each drink. A massively hopped brew that is surprisingly easy to drink.
