Commercial Description:
We craft this much like a sculptor who uses only a hammer and chisel to shape stone into a masterpiece. Hoppe is spawned of these few essentials: barley, wheat, hops, yeast and water. This limited palette is an exercise in minimalism, with refined elements which are deliberately selected. This simple combination creates a golden shimmering brew infused with delicate aromas. The artful nature of this beer is exposed with the first taste. As the malt and hops created a composition of flavors, and elegant finish leaves an impression that your tastes will not soon forget. Don't be deceived by th innocence of Hoppe. Please enjoy in moderation.

Bottle shared by jsquire at jsquire’s. Small white head that mostly diminished, spotty amounts of lacing, transparent, no carbonation observed, and a golden orange hue. Nose was some malt, hoppy, pine, citrus, and some caramel. Ditto for the flavor and considering the ABV of this beer it was fairly well masked. Tingly mouthfeel and medium in body. Very quaffable, very tasty and nicely done by STBC. Worthy of a try.

Caramel malt sweetness, some piney hops, stone fruit aroma. Deep clear gold, smooth texture, alcohol is nearly invisible, good fruity flavor and moderate bitterness. I would have preferred a bit stronger hop aroma and flavor.

Cold 22oz bottle: Pours an egg yolk orange color that is hazy with a moderate layer of alabaster bubbles that quickly diminishes. Aroma is of flowers, light malts and citrus fruits, with a touch of honey. Taste is of nice malts infused with floral hops, citrus, honey and spice. Medium bodied and lightly crisp, with good carbonation. Ending is of an elongated floral bitterness with notes of honey and spice.

Bomber: Pours a cloudy bright orange with a thin white head, huge amount of citrus and honey in the aroma, starts and ends bitter with a sweet floral note in the aftertaste, big bodied with nice carbonation at the beginning and smooth ending.

A HUGE LET DOWN. I LOVE THERE CHOKOLAT AND THE JAVA. I ENJOYED THERE TRIPLE BUT I DON’T FEEL THIS IS IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS DOGFISH HEADS 90 MINUTE ALE.

Thanks to whoever brought this to Woodshop 3 tasting. Malty, hop, complex, balanced and the 10% ABV is no where to be seen. Yet another tasty brew from southern tier

pours a dark yellow gold with a 11/2 finger fluffy off white head. aroma is hops and malt with grapefruit, orange peel, and pine. has a medium body with good lacing and descent carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but stronger. has a dry hop pine aftertaste and the pine just sticks to the tongue for a little while. not bad at all very nice and there is no trace of the 10% abv at all except in the buzz.
