Commercial Description:
We craft this much like a sculptor who uses only a hammer and chisel to shape stone into a masterpiece. Hoppe is spawned of these few essentials: barley, wheat, hops, yeast and water. This limited palette is an exercise in minimalism, with refined elements which are deliberately selected. This simple combination creates a golden shimmering brew infused with delicate aromas. The artful nature of this beer is exposed with the first taste. As the malt and hops created a composition of flavors, and elegant finish leaves an impression that your tastes will not soon forget. Don't be deceived by th innocence of Hoppe. Please enjoy in moderation.

A HUGE LET DOWN. I LOVE THERE CHOKOLAT AND THE JAVA. I ENJOYED THERE TRIPLE BUT I DON’T FEEL THIS IS IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS DOGFISH HEADS 90 MINUTE ALE.

Thanks to whoever brought this to Woodshop 3 tasting. Malty, hop, complex, balanced and the 10% ABV is no where to be seen. Yet another tasty brew from southern tier

pours a dark yellow gold with a 11/2 finger fluffy off white head. aroma is hops and malt with grapefruit, orange peel, and pine. has a medium body with good lacing and descent carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but stronger. has a dry hop pine aftertaste and the pine just sticks to the tongue for a little while. not bad at all very nice and there is no trace of the 10% abv at all except in the buzz.

Glowing buff color with a clingy head. Tangy, bready, peachy base hop aroma. Strangely earthy and spicy, Belgian like in flavor. Rather on the sweet side. The hop flavor is heavy and resinous but lacking in brightness. Interesting beer I would like to revisit.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light amber color with a medium sized frothy off white head. The aroma is citrus hops, as well as some pine hops. The moderately sweet malts along with a hint of spices also come through in the nose. The flavor is moderately sweet bready malt, caramel, citrus, and pine. The finish leans to the dry side. Decent brew.

Pale amber pour with a full white thick head and nice lacing. Aromal is initially yeasty with some passion fruit and some grass. Flavor is more bitter with a good amount of pine and resins. Sticky texture. Full bodied with decent carbonation.

From a 22oz bottle. Pours a hazy copper. It took me a few minutes to pinpoint what I thought this beer smelled like but the aroma is sorta like apple juice. Taste is similiar to the aroma ...apple juice... kinda strange taste for a beer but im liking it. Finish is on the bitter side. alcohol is very well hidden. Southern Tier’s Imperial line has another good brew.

best non-stout I have had from Southern Tier. Its a bit thin, but that is starting to seem like their calling card. Hoppy, but not to the point of sweetness which I love. I would never guess that this is coming in at 10%, i have had beers half that which feel similar. There are lots of pales out there to try, but at this price i could see myself drinking this again.
