alexsdad06 (1056), Ohio, USA Feb 23, 2008 Updated: Feb 26, 200822 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light amber color with a medium sized frothy off white head. The aroma is citrus hops, as well as some pine hops. The moderately sweet malts along with a hint of spices also come through in the nose. The flavor is moderately sweet bready malt, caramel, citrus, and pine. The finish leans to the dry side. Decent brew. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA Feb 21, 2008 Pale amber pour with a full white thick head and nice lacing. Aromal is initially yeasty with some passion fruit and some grass. Flavor is more bitter with a good amount of pine and resins. Sticky texture. Full bodied with decent carbonation. ReademNwheat (174), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 16, 2008 From a 22oz bottle. Pours a hazy copper. It took me a few minutes to pinpoint what I thought this beer smelled like but the aroma is sorta like apple juice. Taste is similiar to the aroma ...apple juice... kinda strange taste for a beer but im liking it. Finish is on the bitter side. alcohol is very well hidden. Southern Tier’s Imperial line has another good brew. WickerBrew (312), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 11, 2008 best non-stout I have had from Southern Tier. Its a bit thin, but that is starting to seem like their calling card. Hoppy, but not to the point of sweetness which I love. I would never guess that this is coming in at 10%, i have had beers half that which feel similar. There are lots of pales out there to try, but at this price i could see myself drinking this again. jeffc666 (1886), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Feb 10, 2008 Lightly hazed golden-hues amber body. Really nice pillowy white head with excellent glass lace. The aroma is surprisingly mellow with bready malt leading the way. The flavor is all about hops. Citrus. Surprisingly mild on the palate. The alcohol stays well hidden until late in the swirl-o-matic cycle through the mouth. jeffwilliams11 (310), hooterville, Michigan, USA Feb 10, 2008 pours very bright and clear-ish. nice hop presance, fairly well balanced. can not tell that this beer is 10%, rustbucket0873 (145), Krikville, New York, USA Feb 8, 2008 Pours a clear amber color with thin white head. Aroma is floral and resinous hops and light citrus. Taste is floral and citrus hops has a taste that i cant really tell. Not one of my tops. the alcohol is definatly hidden well CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Feb 4, 2008 (22oz bottle) Sampled at Ciderwinder 5 in Victoria. Love that amarillo nose. Great looking - slightly hazy, mild carbonated and golden body. Nose is wonderfully floral and tart. Strong amarillo tongue. A new favourite and re-confirms amarillo as my favourite hop. So good!
