Commercial Description:
We craft this much like a sculptor who uses only a hammer and chisel to shape stone into a masterpiece. Hoppe is spawned of these few essentials: barley, wheat, hops, yeast and water. This limited palette is an exercise in minimalism, with refined elements which are deliberately selected. This simple combination creates a golden shimmering brew infused with delicate aromas. The artful nature of this beer is exposed with the first taste. As the malt and hops created a composition of flavors, and elegant finish leaves an impression that your tastes will not soon forget. Don't be deceived by th innocence of Hoppe. Please enjoy in moderation.

Pours a clear amber color with thin white head. Aroma is floral and resinous hops and light citrus. Taste is floral and citrus hops with a bit of thick syrup mixed in. This brew is a bit cloying, but on the upside the alcohol is well hidden.

This is obviously an Imperial IPA. Pours a pristine golden color with a medium frothy white head and great lines of lacing. Aroma is pine, pineapple, and grapefruit. Taste is small amount of piney bitterness, some nuttiness, pineapple, and some grapefruit. This is a great brew. I’d love to do a blind taste test with this, Hop Slam, and 90 Minute.

22 oz bottle purchased at Oak Tree. Pours a clear golden amber with nice effervescence rising from the center of my Nostradamus glass and nice pillowy white head that leaves some good lacing as I sip this one. Aroma of flowers, syrup and citrus. Palate is slightly on the thin side with average carbonation. Mostly hop flavor that is off balanced from the malts and it’s not a good hop flavor but hey who forgot to close the fridge door for the last several weeks?? I loved Unearthly but didn’t care for this and since Gemini is a combo of the two should I just save myself some time and average the two scores together myself??

This bottled brew from a JSquire at rating party poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy floral and malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Perfectly clear gold, almost shockingly clear in fact. Nice head throws a significantly well formed lace, presumably from the wheat. Pleasant citric hop nose, lemon, grapefruit, orange zest. Flavor is lightly biscuity malt, very light in fact, the faintest touch of honey, and then a load of pine and tropical fruit hops. Honestly never had anything quite like this, and I enjoyed it immensely. Good stuff. The 10% is totally masked. Very happy to see this show up in Richmond, VA.

Thanks Winston for picking me this up while in Chicago!

Pour appearance is hazy golden orange witha thinner head with good lacing. Perfumy aroma of apricot, pear, and mango as well as biscuit. Flavor is yeasty, bready while the finish is smooth. Qualities that I’ve noticed in Rogue brews, but better than their signature pacman yeast. There is a medicinal quality that slightly detracts from complete enjoyment of this brew. All in all, still pretty decent. At first, I didn’t notice the ABV, but after multiple sips it makes its way through.

Hazy golden-amber colour. Rich, resiny hop aroma is bright and appetizing. Really rich citrus, pine, resin. The pale malt signature is robust but simple breads. The alcohol comes in late to mix with some of the resin. All the same, I love both these hops but get the sense they probably don’t belong in the same beer together.

22oz. Bottle: Aroma of caramel malts and hops with notes of lychee, resin, and grapefruit. Poured gold/yellow/urine/apple juice in color with a medium-sized, foamy, off-white head that lasted throughout. Excellent lacing. Clear. Medium sweet, lightly bitter flavor. Tastes of caramel malts, hops, lychee, lemon, and alcohol. Medium body. Thin, oily texture. Average carbonation. Sweet, resinous finish.
