Commercial Description:
We craft this much like a sculptor who uses only a hammer and chisel to shape stone into a masterpiece. Hoppe is spawned of these few essentials: barley, wheat, hops, yeast and water. This limited palette is an exercise in minimalism, with refined elements which are deliberately selected. This simple combination creates a golden shimmering brew infused with delicate aromas. The artful nature of this beer is exposed with the first taste. As the malt and hops created a composition of flavors, and elegant finish leaves an impression that your tastes will not soon forget. Don't be deceived by th innocence of Hoppe. Please enjoy in moderation.

Pours golden with a decent white head. Aroma is excellent with great floral hops. Taste is also very hoppy with some citrus and sweet malts. Some light spice as well. Finish is not overly bitter. While I like big hoppy brews, it’s nice to have a beer that isn’t overpowering with hoppy bitterness. Mouthfeel is nice with light carbonation.

An amber/gold pour with a nice white head and lace. Aroma is malty, hoppy, with a touch of abv. On the front it is almost fruity until you rub your tongue around in your mouth and it becomes a hop dance. A hint of grapefruitiness on the finish. Carbonation is good as is the mouthfeel. Carbonation is just a tad foamy which kept me from giving it a 5 for palate. I like it very well. I drank the whole 22 ozer and it was about 52* instead of the recommended 42 when I started. A lot of flavor and a lot of punch.

Tap @ Blind Tiger. Pours a nice golden color with a generous white head. Aroma is heavy and pleasant floral hops. Taste is the same with notes of malt and citrus thrown in as well. Heavy carbonation, but remains smooth and drinkable throughout. Very nice beer.

Nice floral hoppy nose, which follows through on the taste, & finishes very clean, leaving nothing but the flowery hops at the back of the tongue. Initially sweet, & not too bitter. Thick, but not too much so; just about right for a double-eye.

22OZ Bomber: Pours a golden straw color with a murkiness to it.Smells of grassy hops, and a floral kick.Flavor is sweet with a peppery backbone. Palate was the best IMO it seems the more I have Southern Tier offerings the more I think that they no to make beer that has a great palate to it.Overall aghhh

22oz bomber from swoopjones. Fine aroma of pine, plenty of orange rind and tangerine citrus, some dirty malt and the smallest hint of cannabis. Pours bright cloudy orange with a very creamy white head leaving most excellent lacing. The malt takes more of a front seat approach on the tongue than on the nose. It’s not a straightforward sweet caramel malt, though. It’s much more dirty and earthy. Behind the malt there’s plenty of oily pine and robust citrus. Much like the other Southern Tier beers I’ve had, this one takes a more unusual approach to the style with excellent execution.

I’ve yet to be disappointed by a Southern Tier beer, and this one is no exception. Like other Southern Tier beers I’ve tried it has a brilliant and clear appearance and a clean and crisp hoppy flavor. The body of the beer is straw colored, but a brilliantly bright and clear beer with lots of soapy head. Aroma is a very crisp and piney hoppiness. Flavor is also very crisp hop bitterness that is more pine than fruit or grass. Mouthfeel is astringent and drying, belying the IBUs present here. Very good! I really enjoyed this beer; I’d recommend it. I split this bottle with SurlySober; not sure where he found it.

22 oz. bottle, from drewbeerme (I think). Pours slightly hazed, medium amber, with a large whitish head that leaves thick lacing. Nice aroma of summer fruits, floral and citrus hops, apricot and toasty malts. Sweetish, fruity malt character with hints of caramel, piney, floral and ashy hops, buit of honey and orange juice. Medium to full body and creamy carbonation. Nicely done.
