Dec 28, 2007 Pours a medium cloudy darker yellow body with a small rocky white head. The aroma is quite hoppy and grainy. Flavor starts with heavy wheat and grain notes followed with a big grapefruit taste with notes of ammonia and alcohol. I’d bet this was much better fresh but there’s no date on the bottle to derive that conclusion from.

Clear amber with a nice white, sudsy head. Great apricot fruity hops smell. Dry and strong hops flavor with a strong, almost thick finish. An interesting, unique finish and ending. After it warmed a bit - things seemed to go downhill -- all I could taste or smell was the alcohol - not my favorite way to finish a beer, when it isn’t balanced or masked properly. Damn.

Dec 23, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy amber color with a nice, dense head of about one finger. Aromas are pleasantly hoppy: citrus and pine with a nice bit of sweetness to it. Flavor is kind of odd, though. It almost starts off like a wheat or something... there is a slight chewiness to the front end before it gives way to a hoppy finish. The finish is really well done and crisp, but I’m not sold with the texture up front. It definitely packs a bit of a kick, too.

Dec 22, 2007 Bottle sampled. Pours a clear yellow with a small white head. Heavy hop aroma with citrus, pine, sweet malt, and some grain. Flavor is pine, light caramel, grapefruit, and a hint of malt sweetness with a bitter finish.

Pours a gorgeous glowing, light sunny orange color with a nice white head that leaves good lacing. Smell is nicely balanced with sticky malt and a moderate hop presence. A touch of alcohol in the nose as well, which increases a lot as it warms. Taste is nice at first with a smooth creamy body and very light carbonation. Moderately hopped and balanced with hop flavors of hibuscus and tea. Very mild bitterness, but in the end the alcohol presence is way higher than it needs to be and becomes obtrusive for me. Otherwise, a nice beer.

Dec 14, 2007 Very citrusy orangey hop aroma, distinct but not strong, a very strange light red gold color, taste is unexpectedly powerful, huge hoppy citrus with plenty of sweet malt backing, ,all that sweetness you get makes it more a pale ale then an IPA, very intrigueing, almost a perfectly balanced brew,10% hardly noticed,never tasted sucha strong light colored brew as this

Dec 13, 2007 22oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with foamy white head. Aroma citrus hops and malt. Taste hops and malt which is well balance with light bitter finish. No hint of the 10% alcohol in the taste but you will feel it.

Dec 12, 2007 Poured a deep orange color with ruby hues and a foamy white head. Smells like a well hopped IPA, plenty of pine, soap, orange, lemon but also banana, malt, and a touch of yeast. Taste is hard candy, citrus, oranges/tangerines, malt, medicine, and resin. Finish is sticky and thick on the tongue and palate with a slight lasting bitterness and heat from the alcohol. Smells good, looks good, unique, drinkable. Worth a try.
