Commercial Description:
We craft this much like a sculptor who uses only a hammer and chisel to shape stone into a masterpiece. Hoppe is spawned of these few essentials: barley, wheat, hops, yeast and water. This limited palette is an exercise in minimalism, with refined elements which are deliberately selected. This simple combination creates a golden shimmering brew infused with delicate aromas. The artful nature of this beer is exposed with the first taste. As the malt and hops created a composition of flavors, and elegant finish leaves an impression that your tastes will not soon forget. Don't be deceived by th innocence of Hoppe. Please enjoy in moderation.

22oz bottle 9/3/09 (Binny’s Naperville)-Pours a hzy amber orangish body with a small whtie head. Aroma of hops, citrus, grapefruit, and slight malt. Taste of hte same with a bit of citrus, spices, grass, and a little funk. This medium bodied brew is not bad but a little different. It is unique.

Amber pour with smallish white head. Aroma is quite citrusy with some caramel, angelfood cake, and dough. Flavor is quite sweet with an excellent yeasty dough character, tea, and a nice caramel toffee sweetness. Citrus is quite prevalent as well. Palate is medium to full with some warming alcohol present. Very unique and interesting.

Hazy orange copper pour with minimal white head. Aroma holds lots of citrus, with grapefruit, lemon, and clementine, and some caramel and toffee notes. Bready and wheaty notes are also present on the nose. Flavor is very interesting; tons of sweet caramel and toffee malt at the start, again followed by the citrus and some grassy hop as well. There’s a surprisingly high concentration of yeast and bread notes in the flavor as well. Palate is standard for a beer of this style, clearly well crafted. A really nice brew.

Draught at OT. Big white head rather short. Yellow amber colour. The aroma is dominated by bioled green bell peppers together with some spicy notes. The taste is spicy with some lasting bitternes and a litle hop taste and a small sweetness. Not one of their better beers.

Bomber. One of the original ST beers I got to enjoy. A sweet malty and lightly citrusy aroma, lots of citrus and grapefruit hop notes on the flavor while being mixed with a some subtle grassy flavors, and a gentle malt backing. Strong and flavorful finish. Extremely drinkable for 8%. All around a great and progressive APA. YUM!

Bomber - Pours a hazy orange/amber in color with a small white head that quickly fades. Not much carbonation. Aroma is decent mix of citrus/grapefruit hops and slightly sweet maltiness. Flavor is a nicely balanced mix of grassy and citrus hops and a goodly amount of caramel malts. Slight sweet until the hop bitterness kicks in. I liked this one...

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a thin white head that quickly dissipates leaving minimal lacing. Pleasant aroma that is nice balance of beautiful floral/ citrus hops and malt. Very strong malt backbone that kind of takes away from the floral/ citrus hop bitterness. For something called Hoppe I was expecting it to be more of a hop bomb. Pretty quaffable considering the ABV with nice alcohol warmth in the finish.

Bottle at Plan B, København. Deep golden, small head. Grapefruit and lovely biscuit. Perfectly balanced with some toffee. A complex treat.
