Commercial Description:
We craft this much like a sculptor who uses only a hammer and chisel to shape stone into a masterpiece. Hoppe is spawned of these few essentials: barley, wheat, hops, yeast and water. This limited palette is an exercise in minimalism, with refined elements which are deliberately selected. This simple combination creates a golden shimmering brew infused with delicate aromas. The artful nature of this beer is exposed with the first taste. As the malt and hops created a composition of flavors, and elegant finish leaves an impression that your tastes will not soon forget. Don't be deceived by th innocence of Hoppe. Please enjoy in moderation.

On tap @ Cole’s Huge hoppy nose, citrus and pine, cloudy orange, minimal white head. Very bitter bite, juicy, then the malt, which must be plentiful to keep up. Well balanced, itter as heck, Yum! Extra good, nice treat on tap.

Thanks to Bmartin for the bottle. Golden yellow color. Smell of malt, pine, hops, grapefruit and spices. Taste of pine, hops, honey, flowers, malt, ginger, pepper, grass, alcohol and caramel. Very nice!

Bottle. Marketed as an Imperial Extra Pale Ale. Pours hazy, deep gold, with a tall loose off-white head. Impressive hop aroma, with floral notes blending well with pine resin. Sweet and heavy, with a bit of banana in the flavor. A little quick in the finish, given the sweetness. I had expected an overhopped IIPA clone. But, this is different and refreshing.

Pours a hazy golden color with foamy head. The aroma was bursting with hops and a hint of grains. Flavor was bittering hops and lots of it. There was also banana, clove and wheat mingled in there to give this a unique taste. A bit chewy in the mouth and a dry finish. Unique and delicious, especially if you like bitter hops.

22 oz. bomber with detailed description on side of bottle of beer’s specific ingredients. Pours a translucent bright golden color under a thick, dense 1" bone white head. Spotty lacing clings to the glass as it drains. The olfactory senses are immediately captivated by the huge hop presence here. A luscious blast of pink grapefruit, citrus rind, tangerine, pine and Juicy Fruit gum start things off nicely. This is backed by an admirable balance of caramel malts, fresh baked bread and a touch of ethanol. Mouthfeel is smooth, moderately full, creamy and subtley carbonated. Taste gets a big "WOW!" Superb balance in all departments. Rich hoppy notes of citrus fruits and pine with notable, but slightly more restrained flavors of caramel candy, crystal malts, toffee and fresh bread. The 10% abv makes a sneak peek in the finish nicely warming the whole enjoyable experience up. Easy going down for a big beer and worth seeking out for sure.

Bottle. Delicious grapefruity aroma with a big honking Amarillo funk. Dusty and malty with bready overtones. Clear golden pour with medium carbonation and a beautiful creamy white head. Taste is very strongly bitter, not quite harsh, a thick hoppy bready bitterness with matching malt body but no sign of grapefruit and reduced funk. Body is full with some alcohol seeping in to detract, bit of grit from the yeast and a bit overdone on the dry hopping. Not super interesting, but tasty and enjoyable in light moderation.

Translucent and buffed orange in color with a stiff, sudsy and khaki tinted head. Aroma shines with honey oats over baguettes, starfruit, peppered ginger, papaya, mango and some grapefruit enzyme, all lovingly precursing the flavor. Sweet kiwi, grapefruit and candied apricots come through in flavorful abundance. Sweet, crystallized candi careen with a maple character and clementine composure, coupled with unripened watermelon root. Full bodied, sweet, bitter and balanced, ringing and singing with buttered rum over grapefruit toffee in the finish. Lovely.

This just didnt have anything special to it at all. Not a lot of hop aroma or flavor at all. Not much alchohol noticable at all in this one which was suprising for the 10%. Not bad in anyway but nothing i would get a gain.
