Not much carbonation. Aroma is decent mix of citrus/grapefruit hops and slightly sweet maltiness. Flavor is a nicely balanced mix of grassy and citrus hops and a goodly amount of caramel malts. Slight sweet until the hop bitterness kicks in. I liked this one... corby112 (703), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 25, 2009 Pours a hazy golden orange color with a thin white head that quickly dissipates leaving minimal lacing. Pleasant aroma that is nice balance of beautiful floral/ citrus hops and malt. Very strong malt backbone that kind of takes away from the floral/ citrus hop bitterness. For something called Hoppe I was expecting it to be more of a hop bomb. Pretty quaffable considering the ABV with nice alcohol warmth in the finish.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Pours a hazy goldern orange with a tight white head. This leave some good lace in the glass. A strong citrus aroma with some slight pear ester notes. Highly carbonated and it brings out some of the bitter characteristics. Some spice and wheat notes. The finish is bitter sweet and yeasty. There are pleanty of hops in this brew and they are spread out very nicely. A really good beer, interesting and hoppy, I like it. mcmd (134), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Nice tight white head smells like kolschy grains and citrus hops. Tastes like grains and malt with a strong hop taste.
