Commercial Description:
We craft this much like a sculptor who uses only a hammer and chisel to shape stone into a masterpiece. Hoppe is spawned of these few essentials: barley, wheat, hops, yeast and water. This limited palette is an exercise in minimalism, with refined elements which are deliberately selected. This simple combination creates a golden shimmering brew infused with delicate aromas. The artful nature of this beer is exposed with the first taste. As the malt and hops created a composition of flavors, and elegant finish leaves an impression that your tastes will not soon forget. Don't be deceived by th innocence of Hoppe. Please enjoy in moderation.

Tap @ Cole’s. Clear gold, thin white head. Nose is lemony citrus hops, light toasted malt presence, some light caramel notes. Seems extremely fresh. Flavor is fruity hop, very tingly carbonation, light lemon piney finish. The finish lasts forever, getting sweeter as time goes on. A bit like a bigger Alesmith X. This is going to be a big one.

22 oz bottle received from SS ’07, holdenn. Pours clear orange with an average, rocky and bubbly white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (lightly toasted grain, meal, cereal), heavy hops (flowers, pine, spruce), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of apricot, peach, and apple. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Pours a pretty clear golden with a nice sized white soapy head. At first, I could smell pine even far away from the glass. As the beer warmed though, the aroma rounds itself into more toffee, bread, citrus and floral notes. Some pine still lingers, and there’s something sweet there too, perhaps a slight brown sugar or cinnemon note. Sweet white chocolate and brown sugar malt taste is apparent first, but combines well with the strong grapefruit, pine and floral hop flavors. Finishes with a nice white chocolate sweetness, while the hops get more bitter and grapefruity, slightly toasty, and a bitter floral aftertaste. Nicely rounded mouthfeel, obviously a big bodied beer, but it feels pretty light and drinks easily. Medium carbonation. I guess doing a double "extra pale ale" puts a new spin on the DIPA category. Good beer, lots of nice things about it, but it’s not a "wow" beer. I can’t imagine why a beer like this is 10% though....

22 oz. bottle my mother-in-law picked up from the brewery - Pours a clear golden color with a one and a half finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is toasted malt and light citrus hops. Flavor is citrus hops and lightly sweetened toasty malt. Nice balance. Medium body. Smooth palate with no lingering aftertastes. Alcohol is slightly noticed in the finish. A very nice beer. Thanks Ma.

22oz - Aroma is sweet malt and crispy hops. Pours transparent gold with a huge head and great lacing. Flavor is very malty followed by grassy, earthy, tropical hops. Palate is creamy and smooth. Just different enough to stand out and quite tasty.

22 ounce bottle. Pours is brilliant golden with some rising carbonation. Resinous pure white head. Bright citrus and pine dry hop aroma. Really, can you go wrong with Amarillo and Columbus? I think not.The flavor is a restrained blast of hops, pine, and a slick sweet malty character. Full body, with above average carbonation, and a a long bitter finish. If they could make this beer, but knock it down to say 6 percent, I’d drink it all the time.

Pours golden/light orange with white head. Aroma of hops, and honey. Taste is light notes of grapefruit, dough , and honey. Hops are not overpowering. Goes down easy and shocked this is 10%. Good beer.
