Indra (1825), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Jul 22, 2008 22oz. bottle. Fruity, hoppy nose, leafy, floral and citric with notes of lemon, faintly sweet pale malt, spice and pine. Clear medium golden color with a lasting, fine head leaving sheets of thin lacing. Flavor profile is a combination of prominent, lasting, bitter and spicy hops, gently doughy malt sweetness, orange, lemon and apricot fruitiness, and touches of peppery, warming alcohol lasting long into the finish. Tingly and active on the palate, body is medium-full. An interesting creation, this is.
dm9831 (571), Monee, Illinois, USA Aug 19, 2008 hazy golden color, thin head, with some lacing. aroma is wonderfully hoppy grapefruit and hints of pine. flavor is all bittery citrusy hoppiness. beauty pine finish which lingers. not a hop bomb, but a more delicate hop hop experience, enjoyable none-the-less. a respectable 8% abv remains fairly well hidden. EricE (209), Beltsville, Maryland, USA Aug 10, 2008 Orange - gold pour with a thin white head. Very clear. Not much of an aroma, some hearty grains and yeast and a bit of sweetness. Very grainy, almost corn flake like taste. Alcohol is noticeable but not overpowering . A bit of sweetness and fruit. Alcohol leaves a lasting aftertaste. This stuff isn’t bad, but a pale ale should be easy to drink and refreshing. Making this imperial doesn’t really add anything except a huge amount of alcohol and I think in this case it only hurt the beer. Trev (479), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Aug 8, 2008 bomber: Pours a hazy pale gold with a medium tight white head.
Aroma is light caramel malt and honey under a good dose of citrus hop
Flavour is a good balance. pine and citrus hop with a medium malt body pushing through. A hint of alc in the finish but nothing too hot.
AmEricanbrew (907), Left Coast, Louisiana, USA Aug 7, 2008 Clear light amber with a fleeting head. Nice grassy, sweet malt aroma. Smooth medium body with mild carbonation. Good pale malt sweetness carrying flavors of pine sap and floral hops. Has a mild alcohol bitterness to finish. Enjoyed this one. Chipper (45), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 6, 2008 A dork yellow color with a huge head. Hoppy and little fruit aroma. The hops are strong but not over powering. The alchahol is well hidden as this is a very drinkable brew.
