Commercial Description:
We craft this much like a sculptor who uses only a hammer and chisel to shape stone into a masterpiece. Hoppe is spawned of these few essentials: barley, wheat, hops, yeast and water. This limited palette is an exercise in minimalism, with refined elements which are deliberately selected. This simple combination creates a golden shimmering brew infused with delicate aromas. The artful nature of this beer is exposed with the first taste. As the malt and hops created a composition of flavors, and elegant finish leaves an impression that your tastes will not soon forget. Don't be deceived by th innocence of Hoppe. Please enjoy in moderation.

Thanks to Tweety for the bottle. Bright clear golden pour with smallish white head. Lovely lacing. Tropical fruits hit my nose before I even poured out of the bottle. Also some slight grassiness and malts, and fresh hops. Palate was surprisingly thick upon my first sip--whole milk thick. Perhaps the light color fooled me into thinking it would be lighter. Bitter/floral hop finish with some citrus and lychee also lingering. An interesting beer.

Bomber sent from lilbeerdoctor, thanks! Very impressive nose, the heavy, complex tropical aromas of hops came straight from the bottle as I opened it. Golden hue, thick whitish head with a yellow tint. Very good beer, sharply bitter and clean and in many ways exactly what I was looking for. Lots of pale malt with more hop complexity than I expected from only two varities. Didn’t get the wheat though.

Bomber poured a clear golden yellow with a small lingering white head. Aromas of wheat, earthiness, citrus and a hint of pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of wheat, straw, orange zest and light grapefruit with a smooth ligfhtly dry lingering bitter finish.

Bottle. Amber beer with a thin off-white head. Great resiny, grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit, pine, caramel flavor. Body doesn’t keep up with the flavor - just a little too light. Resin and grapefruit linger with a bit of caramel. A bit of grass starts to show up in the background.

Pours a clear gold in color with a huge pillowy, carbonated white head sitting atop. Smell is piney and grassy hops. Very good amount of piney hops in the nose. Taste is more of the flavorful hops. Not overly bitter or tongue thrashing. More of the flavorful type. I would prefer if this beer was a bit more of a brute. Without the aspect, this is a very drinkable, smooth beer. Almost too drinkable, especially since the bottle notes the 10% ABV.

22oz bottle courtesy of Swolf3, thank you Steven. Nice dark yellow/gold color, white head. Nice hop aroma, grassy and a little piney, very subdued. Bitter hopiness in the flavor, not too bad.
