3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle that I took to Maxís for Jenís going away tasting. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Soft citrus, floral notes and a bit of musky yeast. Medium bodied, spicy musk, warm yeast. Soft musk into the finish, a bit of floral sweetness. Tasty enough.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Glowing banana-yellow color, cloudy/hazy like pineapple juice. A big, thick meringue of white head. Gorgeous.
First whiff of citrus hop and Belgian Brett funk. The hops take on more of a pine-oil character. When agitated there is more horsey-must coming out of nowhere. A little bit of vegetable-sulfurs (expected).
Pungent funk flavor; heavy yeast. The hops takes a backseat to the funk in the flavor: there are some grassy and agave notes. The label says rose hips, so I guess thatís there too (reminds me of a tea I had once with rosehips). Has an almost sour finish, with a touch of lemon.
Fizzy feel, lots of carbonation: prickly. Itís a worthy addition to the So.Tier Imperial lineup. Light and summery.

Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head. The aroma is light and earthy. A hint of lemon and sweet malt. The flavor has a hint of lemon, slightly sweet, a bit of grass. Very refreshing. This is a great summer beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cloudy yellow color with a white head. Aroma is lemon, some floral hops, and some pale maltiness. Taste is slightly bitter. This does not feel like a 9 percent beer; in fact, I have doubts that it was. Very easy to drink, with a soft mouth feel. Hoppiness present throughout. I donít know why this is called a Belgian Ale. Should probably be ASA or something. if it is really 9%, then this was the easiest drinking beer you could have.

Medium body with a smooth sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a medium, dense white head. Floral and citrusy hops dominate the aroma. Taste is floral hops, citrus fruit, citrus zest, tropical fruit notes, sweet malt, soft spicy notes, light grains and herbal notes. Body is medium-full with a strong, minty hoppiness throughout and a very lively and prickly carbonation. Thereís also a mild warmth showing up here as well. Ends with more floral hops, citrus, light pine, tropical fruit, herbal notes, mint, sweet malt and light spice.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz bottle - pours hazy, glowing yellow with nice white head, lasting and cool lacing. Aromas of doughy hops, citrus and spice, bread and fruit. Good balance between the hops and Belgian yeasty notes. Dry, bitter finish, medium bodied and long ending. Very excellent example of a Belgian inspired IPA, refreshing and lovely.
