We rely on age-old tools in the brewery despite being surrounded by high technology. As a sort of compass, we use the six pointed brewerís star to help navigate uncharted brews. The cardinal points of water, malt, grain, yeast, hops and a brewer make the baseline. From there anything goes. Sometimes the journey is as important as the destination.

Youíll notice a slight bitterness in Compass derived from our use of rose hips accentuated by high effervescence. Drink it cold from a fluted or tulip glass. And by all means, avoid sea serpents.

Wow, this is an out of left field belgian ale. Clear copper pour, with a medium white head. Sweey malty aromas, lots of bready sweet malts, with some distinct tropical fruit aromas, with some piney, citrus zesty hops. Very lively carb, and viscous mouth feel. Finish is quite sweet, notes of candi sugar, and yeast, bready malts. The rose hips are kinda there in the finish, but other than that, i cant find them. Medium bitterness, with a solid hoppy, pine resin after taste. A cross between a belgian ale and a double ipa.

Cloudy yellow-to-orange appearance. Decent head; uneven lacing. Smells of booze and citrus at first, almost like a double IPA, but the yeast hits the longer it sits in the glass. Taste: big bitter hops, big booze, yeast. Like a cross between an IPA and a Belgian. Not surprised given itís Southern Tier. Packs a wallop, but not much complexity going on here, I must say. Drinkable, but not a favorite.

Pours a hazy golden yellow. Bubbly. Aroma is lightly malt and floral. Taste is sweet with a biting bitterness that mixed with the sparkling carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(trade w/OLking) - White foamy head. Body is gold to light peach. Crystal clear. Aroma of apricot. Flavor kind of reminds me of a thermometer thatís been freshly cleaned with rubbing alcohol. Aftertaste like white wine grapes which has started to raisin. Iíve tried it. I wonít likely be trying it again unless itís thrown in as an extra in a trade.

I love this beer! Floral aroma, great appearance, citrusy taste, and a slight alcohol burn. What more could you ask for on a hot summer day!?

[Bottle (650ml)] Pours a hazy bubbly copper-gold with a large semi-lasting foamy white head and some lacing. Aroma is sweet, fruity, floral and lightly hoppy along with some yeast and yes, rose hips. Nice flavour is lightly sugary sweet and yeasty along with some honey, light hops, fruit and a long tea-like bitter finish. Some alcohol but for the most part well hidden. Medium bodied. Pretty good beer.
