COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We rely on age-old tools in the brewery despite being surrounded by high technology. As a sort of compass, we use the six pointed brewer’s star to help navigate uncharted brews. The cardinal points of water, malt, grain, yeast, hops and a brewer make the baseline. From there anything goes. Sometimes the journey is as important as the destination.

You’ll notice a slight bitterness in Compass derived from our use of rose hips accentuated by high effervescence. Drink it cold from a fluted or tulip glass. And by all means, avoid sea serpents.

Good floral aroma. Nice flavor. Hoppiness close to an IPA. Finishes dry and bitter. Good beer, a little too much dry hop for me, but drinkable.

Anytime I can review a brew right after Dogbrick is a good day! Poured from a bomber into a tulip hazy yellow with a off white head. Aroma is sweet hoppiness followed by citrus & a touch of something which I believe is the rosehips. Flavor is bittersweet with plenty of orange lemon with a bitter finish. The dry bitter end of the brew works exceptionally well. Quite an unexpected beverage. Pretty unique flavors which play together nicely.

Sample at Daily Growler. Cloudy pale yellow color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of citrusy hops, grainy malt and herbs. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hops and lemony aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bomber: Aroma is big citrus hop notes with a light bready malt texture throughout. Appearance is a slightly cloudy orange with a slight head that diminishes almost immediately. Taste has got a nice hop note, fruity, very little malt notes. Really nice and refreshing. Palate is low carbonation with an aftertaste of fruit hops. Overall, Good stuff. I like it. Cheers!

Clear yellow at first but late at the bottom clouds up the a lot with very large chunks. Very large pillowy, sticky, white head on this brew. Aroma has a very pungent bitter citrus note with lemon and orange coming through with a light bready note late. The flavor is very full with a trons lemon citrus, solid bitter bite, light bready and alcohol touch at the end. Body is very full with a strong fizzy palate and a light dryness in the finish. Overall a very good brew. The alcohol is very low in the flavor. The strong lemon citrus with the fizzy kick works very nicely.

From bottle. Medium golden color. Citrus floral sugary malt aroma. Flavor matches aroma. Lots of medium roasted malt flavors with floral hops and slightly resiny finish. "Friendly" strong ale.

This is like summer in a bottle. Although it is a little over a year old, it held up well. Aroma is full of citrus hops. The wheat and pilsner malts create a crisp finish, no alcohol present. Well done for a 9% brew!

Interesting beer, but good! This is like a cross between a sparkling champagne and a Belgian Tripel. The Compass pours a cloudy dark yellow color with a substantial, bubbly and sticky head. The nose is quite tart and a little sour, with a ton of fruity notes, along with some fresh-cut grass, wild yeast and floral hops. The body is very spritzy and carbonated, and I can almost taste the individual active bubbles. The flavors are a little tart and sour as well, with fruity notes and light hops. I taste a definitive profile of bready and fruity malts, along with a hint of alcohol, especially toward the finish.

Bomber. Pours clear yellow with a big white head that dissipates quickly, with champagne-like bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass the whole time. Aroma is a bit of grass and some alcohol. Tastes is lemony-citrus and subdued, sweet malt, with a little black pepper spiciness. The bitter aftertastes of lemon sticks around for a good while. Very highly carbonated, a bit too much for me. A very good beer, though not something I have a strong desire to try again.

Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is earthy and funky with a nice citrus and bitter finish. Good stuff!
