Smell is delightfully hoppy, moldy, and bitter. The taste is very bitter with strong hop presence, good citrus flavor, and wheaty. Really good, really strong. I like

Hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is grassy hops with a lemon-pepper buzz. Taste is the same, with rosey (ester?) notes, and a clean lemony finish. Alcohol is there, but not overpowering. $11/22oz

Cloudy yellowish gold with a thick white head. Crisp, somewhat dry. Hints of citrus zest and spice, peppery and grassy. Very nice, and lighter than the alcohol content would make you think.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear looking yellow with a big, yet rapidly fading white head. The aroma is quite floral. Additionally, there are citrus elements that, while not dominant, are very noticeable. These consist of lemon, grapefruit, and mango. The nose is altogether lighter, but it is enticing and well balanced. The taste is kind of sweet and has plenty of floral hops. It advertises rose hips, and I must say that I can taste this. I find lemon and yeast, mild spices pear, and orange. Aftertaste is mild yet long, and is a floral flavor with orange. It is very difficult to believe that this one contains the strength that is does. Light in body, with a thin and slick texture. Not a whole lot of carbonation. Overall, this one is good. It is different with what it offers. I think I usually look for more in a beer like this. Although its strong, its surprising to me that everything I find in here is pretty mild.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
650ml bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a one finger white head of fine bubbles, and some sediment floaters. Looks very much like a Belgian blonde. The aroma is boozy up front, with grapefruity hops, light orange/lemon peel, and yeasty notes. The taste is medium sweet with a beautiful fruity start, and as advertised, it is definitely citrus forward (light lemon candy, orange peel) with an undertone that I imagine is from the rosehips that makes me think Turkish delight. Bitter finish, with lemon notes, and spice. Lighter bodied with great carbonation, and lots of flavour. Southern Tier have themselves a mighty winner with this one. Definitely worth a try.
