COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“brewed for the harvest” This beer begins in spring when oat seeds are sown as soon as the soil can be worked. Meanwhile, select types of barley are planted with hopes that Mother Nature will be kind. Our brewers wait patiently until the legumes are mature and ready for the scythe. Upon delivery to the brewery, these ingredients are mixed together in the mash tun where they steep, creating a rich molasses-like liquid. Spicy hops are boiled with the thick brew, giving balance and complexity. Brewers yeast feasts upon the rich sugars, concluding its transformation into oatmeal stout. Pour Oat into a snifter, allow its thick tan head to slowly rise, releasing unbridled aromas. The color of Oat is as dark as a moonless night. The first sip reveals Oat’s thick and nourishing taste. Like a haversack to a horse, a bottle of this stout is a meal in itself. Enjoy responsibly. 11.0% abv • 238º L

Nice thick creaminess. Alcohol hidden as if its not there. One from the brewery I like the best.

Dark, thick pour from a bomber bottle with about an inch and a half of tan head. Mainly oats, as the name suggests, on the nose. As it warms it loses bitterness and develops bold vanilla middle and raisin finish. Can taste a little alcohol on the finish. Solid, solid oat stout and my first oatmeal imperial stout.

Black opaque pour from bomber bottle, tan foam that persists, although slight. Dark fruit aroma, vanilla middle. Taste of raisin, vanilla, oats at the end. Bitterness disappears as it warms.

Bottle in Craft Brixton. Opaque black almost no head. This looks oily and has a fairly high viscosity. Nose is very alcoholic, lots of dark ripe fruit, plums and prunes and its very sweet and sugary. Taste is very sweet. Getting lots of prune, ripe dark fruit, lots of sugar. I’m finding it a bit too cloying. Oily and syrupy in the mouth.

Coco aroma. Very thick and chewy palate. Hoppy when cold in the initial sips. Middle has cereal flavors. Crazy thick is.what I’ll remember.

65cl bottle, served in Duvel cup. Pitch black with a majestuous light brown creamy crown on top. Exellent appearence. The aroma is roasted malts, caramel, hints of licorice and grape. Nice contrast regarding taste: coffee, chocolate, and some hops show up. The oat touch is subtle, but helps on giving a peculiar character. Slightly sweeter palate than expected, even though one still gets bitterness (coffee-like). Creamy mouthfeel, good carbonation. Very good brew.

Bottle - Bittersweet chocolate, biscuit and dark malt. Almost like a chocolate chip cookie. Jet black with a thin brown head. Rich chocolate, mellow alcohol and a slight bitterness. Mouth feel is great, overall a very nice and subtle beer.

Draft. Jet black with a medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, largely oat and chocolate. Taste follows suit but is amplified. Sweet but not too sweet. Almost reminiscent of a hearty alcoholic chocolate milk. Rich silky palate. Not sure why it took me so long to try this one. It's great.

Dark black pour. Mild lacing and head. Aroma of vanilla, toffee, caramel and chocolate. Taste is like aroma times 10. Very good with a boozy finish. Would recommend.
