| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 25, 2009 12oz brown glass pry-top. No date stamp.
Appearance: Poured into a chalice turns up .5 inch of bleach white head that fades but laces the glass and veils the surface of the beer. A yellow amber color and somewhat hazy.
Nose: Yellow grapefruit, apricot and stick sweet buds. Some munich-like malt aromas.
Palate: Crisp right up front with aggressive hop acidity and bitterness. As the bitterness releases the taste buds there’s a wave of fruitiness like a Real Ale, plus grapefruit and dried driftwood (salty wood). Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Malt shows up mostly as sugar.
Notes: A solid East Coast IPA. Has what I call a sugar center underneath the hop bitterness. Bitter, but not dry or drying. Highly recommend for an "affordable" 6 pack IPA. keepersj12 (787), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2009 Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam, consumed at Kemmel campsite, Belgium, 09-06-09 Pours light/mid amber with white bubbly head, medium carbonation. Fresh clean hoppy aroma. Crisp tasting, the hops really bite, but there is a sweetness sitting underneath. Unsure of the strength of this as it doesn’t mention on the label, but I would be quite happy to have a few of these. Nice furry bitterness, at end this is a little drying, good simple beer. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 17, 2009 I think the rating is a little off...92? I’ve had plenty of IPAs that smoke this one. That being said, it is good, but a little coarse. The initial shock of mediocre hops and metal really turned me off of this beer. GJF (492), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 15, 2009 An east coast brewery with a west coast style ipa. Tons of floral hops in the aroma and sticky hop and citrus flavor. A little light on the malt profile, but good. grobeen (25), , Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2009 A little weak as an IPA, but nonetheless with a decently fruity nose, and with a good amount of bitterness. A solid brew, easy to drink. rugbydude05 (285), Kew Gardens, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 13, 2009 12 oz bottle, pours a frosty deep amber color, little head. Aroma is very fresh and floral, even moreso than most other IPAs, with a little citrus sweetness. Taste was spicy and a little bitter and very full. Palate, like most other Southern Tier brews, is very smooth and never harsh, even with the high hop content of the beer. Excellent beer.
