COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

A bright amber with a short foam. Aroma is strong with grapefruit/citrus. Taste is very bitter at the start but finishes clean. As the beer warms, it mellows a bit. Very good IPA!

On tap at my favorite pub.....pours a hazy golden with a thin head. This beer has the typical IPA aroma : hops, citrus, and floral. Nicely carbonated and a nice tasting beer. Not too bitter with a hop finish, but not overpowering.

Purchased at Archer Liquors in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on a cold crappy late April Tuesday after getting a mediocre hair cut. Aroma beautiful for an IPA, very grassy/floral/citrusy hop profile, also has a sweetness in the nose. Appearance is pretty much a clear amber with a thin but frothy white head that laces to the glass. Taste is fantastic, quite bitter but retains somewhat of a sweetness in the palate. Also has a malty finish, like a DIPA would have, but it’s not as potent so maybe it’s a 1.5IPA? It’s a really solid IPA that I enjoy drinking after a foul weathered day.

My gods, this smells nice. Very citrusy, while the flavour is not quite as intense. Moderate bitterness, smooth and tasty. Pours a nice medium brown without much head, quite clear but not very fizzy. Overall, quite a tasty beer. Recommended.
