Sweet nose of sugar, cookie, grapefruit, really minor hop. Flavor is ultra-tea, some sugar, very minor bitterness. Rather slick and lifeless, slight carbonation Not very impressive, but from Southern Tier, I’m no longer disappointed by something like this. KornDogg (184), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 12, 2009 Bottle from Archer Liquors. Orange gold color with a large, fine off-white head. The aroma isn’t all that sharp - more like floral. Medium body with mild carbonation. The flavor is light roasted malt with a lot of hop, but it isn’t really all that bitter. It’s almost chewy floral/citrus though. Maybe I got lucky with a fresh one? Or it’s so old the bitter evaporated? LOL Really nice and pleasant. Nigh astringent. Excellent. yarry (370), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada

Nice coppery red colour with a thick offwhite head. The aroma is citrus and pine, definitely one of the american C hops. Very smooth taste well balanced with a definite hop kick in the aftertaste. Very weighty in the mouthfeel and a satisfying drink. This is a great IPA if you love your hops! DrnkMcDermott (1844), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 2, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Proper amberish IPA pour, head is a little thinner and paler than I expect for the style. Zesty wet hop smell that even my wife in the next room picked up. Taste definitely shows this ought to be an American Pale Ale. Plenty of piney hops, not as high on the citrus, but a good sticky effect on my lip. Good malt balance in caramel shades. One of the better "year-round" IPAs. beerfest5 (154), Simsbury, Connecticut, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 1, 2009 12oz bottle, pours a hazy copper with an off white head that lingered for just a little while. aroma is more malty than i thought it would be, not as citrusy as im used to. taste is again more malty than i like my IPA’s, but still very good, smooth palate with a hoppy kick, finishes as good as it starts. a good beer. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 28, 2009 Pours a dark copper with a dense and foamy cream colored head.
The aroma is well balanced between a caramel malt sweetness and a very citusy hop character.
The taste is also pretty well balanced, but does emphasize the citrusy hop flavour. The flavour is initially bready, like crackers or buttery biscuits. The hops flavour is pretty intense, and is floral as well as lemony. Orange peel comes to mind. The aftertaste is very bitter and citrusy. A refreshing and complicated taste to say the least.
Great creamy mouthfeel. A medium body with a soft medium carbonation.
Extremely drinkable. Nate (2538), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 26, 2009 From bottle. Terrific grapefruit tangy aroma, very hoppy and juicy. Sweet orange and honey and light sweet malt. Medium amber clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with high carbonation and carbonic burn. Starts pretty dry, with mild malt sweetness and quite a bit of fresh bitter hop character. Light papery taste, but finishes fine with lots of bitter lasting hop bitterness. After is bitter but not overpowering or chalky.
