The aroma and taste is very hoppy. Also in the taste is some citrus fruits and some sweetness. The finish is the perfect bitter finish of a great I.P.A. danielcurtis81 (884), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 25, 2008 Bottle. A little fresher this the current picture here. Pours a nice golden color with a medium white head. Really nice grapefruit smell. Flavors are grapefruit and pine. Really fresh and crisp. Clean refreshing mouth. mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 23, 2008 12 oz bottle pours medium golden color with an off white creamy head that laces nicely. Citrus and herbal hop aroma. Somewhat floral as well. Nice bitterness but not overwhelming with some smokiness and burnt sugar flavor. Not unbalanced, but not a fantastic IPA. I am just more partial to their big beer lines. It seems like more time and energy is put into getting these beers right. BMan1113VR (2813), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 9, 2008 Bottle thanks to ilovedarkbeer. Pours with a small off white head and a clear orange body. Good lacing. Aroma is citrus (orange) hops, and some caramel malt and a bit of honey. Taste is citrus hops and toffee. Lively carbonation and a water like mouthfeel. fredandboboflo (1404), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 5, 2008 Bottle. Aroma grassy, citrus, mango hops. flavor increasingly mango, tropical, some grassiness lingering. Very little malt to speak of, yet the hops are still allowed to shine without becoming abrasive. Still, just a little weird without any noticeable malt presence. tmoreau (547), Lombard, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2008 A house beer locker bottle. Frothy, off white head with good lacing which remains, while the head diminishes to a small ring. Clear, amber/orange hue. Malty sweetness, citrus, a touch of spruce & herbs permeate the aroma. Flavor is citrus, herbs, & strong hop bitterness that lasts throughout. Good example of the style. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2008 (Bottle). Sweet perfumy citrus aroma. Cloudy reddish amber body, large fluffy off-white head. Flavor is aggressively hopped, mainly tangerine, with a significantly bitter finish. Bracingly refreshing, if not particularly well balanced. JK (2949), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Gold color and an impressive, rocky head that lasts a long time. Well carbonated. Citrus hops are immediately apparent without even getting close to the glass. Lots of bread and crackers in the flavor with only moderate hops, but good nonetheless. I expected a more bitter, more powerful IPA.
