COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

12oz bottle at the American styles tasting. Clear amber with a white head. Fruity aroma with apple, bubblegum, some tangerine, and sweet cake. Sweet and malty with definite caramel and some vanilla. Lots of resiny-bitter hops with some teas astringency. Syrupy and smooth mouthfeel. I’m just not sure abut this guy. Weird IPA and still Southern Tier at the core, despite being a smaller beer.

Bottle 330ml. Exceptional IPA. Aromas of grass, caramel, honey, and nuts. Taste starts sweet, with bitterness taking over for a very long finish. Palate is almost creamy, with a medium body. Amber, with a frothy white head.

Bottle. Might be from Danny. Clear golden orange color. White ring of head. Spicy hop aroma with fat sticky notes. Some floral notes. Flavor is quite spicy and dry. Sweet flavors edge out also. Finishes lightly dry and bitter.

Bottle from Cavie. Aroma has plenty of hops, a little earthy, fruit, and a light breadiness. Taste is bitter, upfront, caramel, dirt, and an almost fruity finish.

I did not enjoy this one as much as i thought that i would the style was a little too bitter for my taste and i felt that it was not as good as some of the other offerings of IPA out there

Bottle. Deep gold. Rich aromas of grapefruit, pineapple, cherry, malt and caramel instantly betray the IPA character. Lush malt and mild fruit lead to an excellent long and bitter finish. Awesome gritty texture. Would have again in a heartbeat.
