COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

Bottle. Poured a hazy orange color with a decent white head. Left lots of lacing on the glass as it went. Aroma was piney, with a sweet malt caramel smell. Flavor was rich and creamy, malt backbone with caramel. Aftertaste was the hop bite. Pines, grass and hay. Very well balanced though. A very good ipa.

Pours an amber color with a frothy white head. Aroma of floral and pine hops. Flavor is a nice mix of floral & citrus hops with a decent malt backbone. Overall a pretty good IPA.

12 oz. bottle pours a golden honey color with frothy head. Poor retention, but abundant lacing. Aroma is of pine resin, moss and crackers. Front palate is bitter and malty with a middle of herbs and grass and a hoppy finish with yeast overtones and a burnt-popcorn aftertaste. A crisp fall accompaniment for a warm spinach salad with bacon, bleu cheese and a homemade honey mustard dressing.

This is a much more drinkable (sessionable) brew than the UnEarthly. Great aroma with hints of freshly cut hardwood, biscuit malts, and fragrant hops. Slightly sweet up front and bitter hops on the dry finish. Love the creamy mouthfeel and the colour. Another fine offering from the East.

Bottle. Pours a orange-gold with minor fizz. Chewy, hopsy mouth with hops, hops, hops and a little more hops. Fairly floral nose... A little pine and wood. The taste is very hopsy...but smooth and a litltly creamy. Mildly acidic with just enough sweet malt to balance well. Finish is bitter, slightly dry with bitterness cut slightly with a tiny hint of citrus.

12 oz bottle. Pours a beautiful orange with a hint of light brown and a medium, off white head. Very nice carbonation is visible, but not too much. Great aroma consisting of floral hops with woody (pine?) notes and a bit of citrus as well. Woody hop taste with a bit of a sweet malt finish. Taste is a bit of a disappointment after the pour and aroma. Not a bad IPA by any means, but not as good as I had hoped.
