Aromas are floral and citrus hops (almost like oranges) with a little bit of caramel. Flavor has a fairly heavy grain presence (almost a grain dust like taste) that then transitions to a lively pine/citrus hops finish... Comes through as a little watery and not very complex, but still is pretty good. coyotehunter (545), , Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 29, 2008 unimpressed at first. Poured it into a tulip glass, and it smells as fresh and inviting as a hand full of crushed up hop cones. But as I took my first drink, it lost its luster...as I said, unimpressed. However...........as I sat and stared at the orangey-amber liquid in my glass, feeling a little like a stubborn kid with a bowl of unwanted oatmeal in front of him, I thought, ok, drink....and finish it. Well, low and behold, it only needed to warm a bit to release its hoppy, citrusy goodness. much better the the closer it gets to the needed temperature. Cast this one not aside, as it is worthy of a second look. terrybail (335), London, Ontario, Canada

Smells of hops and citrus. Hoppy taste, but not over bearing. Nice ’’drinkin’’ beer. lowg (123), Scarborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 26, 2008 Lucky enough to find a couple of singles at the LCBO, they jacked up the price of a six pack for this. Nonetheless, great beer, pours amber with a tan head, lots of lacing. Excellent citrus / hoppy aroma. Not as hoppy a finish as the Dogfish Head I’ve been having earlier, but I find it does have a nice balance. Glad to have gems like this at the LCBO once in while. noncaloric (605), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Enjoyable even when my nose is nowhere near the glass. Hazy orange pour, head blooms and fades to a film of beige bubbles that never quite goes away. Minimal lace. Flavor is more hops, mostly evergreens but with a little citrus. Caramel and vanilla are in there at first but fade through the glass as the hops’ afterbite takes over. Medium in body, prickly and cooling on the tongue. cloudstrife (50), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 24, 2008 12 oz bottle poured into glass. Hazy golden color with a bubbly white head that lasted throughout the glass. Aroma of hops (duh) piney and citrus possibly some wheat. Very easy to drink IPA, not too bitterly hoppy but has the taste that makes it an IPA. Nice long finish. Overall another hit from southern tier but not what I would expect from the company and a great style beer like the IPA. Beardface (984), Eugene, Oregon, USA

Yellow orange color with a little head and some lacing. Pretty low level of hops for an IPA and goes down super smooth. I like it.
