Aug 30, 2008 Another "surprise" IPA for me, as I had never heard of this brewer before. I always love it when a beer "wows" me upon first sip. Pours a classic IPA orange/amber with some hazyness and good lacing. The aroma is very strong, with classic pine and citrus on the finish. The taste follows suit, with a very strong hoppyness as well as balanced carbonation and malt. I will definitely be getting Southern Tier again. Cheers!

Aug 28, 2008 Not bad. there has been a lot of noise about this brewery in the area since its arrival here. I’m not sure I share the enthusiasm. Nevertheless, it is a good IPA with solid hop delivery.

Aug 27, 2008 Dark amber pour almost copper. Lots of bubbles. Very visually stimulating. Blood Orange zest on the nose. Citrus and pine for flavor with a malty backbone. Crisp and clean.

Aug 27, 2008 12 oz bottle given to me by csbosox. Pour is hazed orange golden with a big 3 inch off white head. Very nice cascading settling. Very slow to fall, when it does, nice sticky lacing. Aroma is fresh citrus (grapefruit) hops and sweet caramel maltiness. Nicely balanced nose. Taste is resin, bitter citrus hops, with some pine, which I hadn’t t pick up on in the nose. The malt picks up mid palate, and carries to the finish where the hop bitterness picks back up. There is a touch of earthy grassiness to the after taste, which I like. Nice IPA. Thanks Chris.

Aug 26, 2008 Amber orangeish color, with a beige head, sweet toasty, caramel malt nose with a very nice candied peach, tangerine floral hop orange peel citrusy aroma folloes through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasted, caramelized malt, fruity marmalade character, from the good flowery hop fruity, peachy, mandarin accent, with a grassy, minty note, leading towards a leafy hop bitterness finish.

Aug 25, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass a amber color with hints of orange in the light. A small head that falls down pretty quickly. The aroma is hoppy and just a bit citrusy. It is as up there on hops taste and aroma as you would want in a standard IPA. A very nice and smooth beer with just a bit of a bitter bite at the end. A solid IPA.

Aug 25, 2008 12oz bottle served in a stem glass. Light orange body topped by a lasting white head. Smells of grapefruit and pine. Smooth bitterness accented by pine, grapefruit, and a hint of tea. Clean finish. Nice lacing. A pretty nice IPA.

Aug 24, 2008 This is my first beer from Southern Tier. The IPA was very good. The color was a perfect copper and clear no cloudiness. The head stayed through out the consumptiom with lacing. It is an IPA for anytime of day. The bitterness at closing has grapefruit flavors typical of hops. The triple hopped brewing is a plus.
