mgermani (862), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jul 5, 2008 Pours a clear pale gold with a thin white head and an amazing fresh hop aroma, very agressive, lupulicious, tasty! Tastes good, surprising at first, very grassy hops. Great bitterness, present alcohol. Crisp and well carbonated. What a tasty IPA! wilderthanyou (407), Guelph, Ontario, Canada Jul 4, 2008 Updated: Sep 12, 2008Picked this up at my local LCBO. Ahh thank god, I thought they’d never get good beer in again, and whats more, there suppose to be getting some dogfish head in anytime now, and that makes me a happy beer drinker. Pours a golden orange with a thin white head that dissolves to a film with some lacing. Aroma is pure hoppy goodness, lots of floral and citrus notes with just a little touch of malt. The flavour is pretty awsome, with loads of hoppy flavours, citrus, pine, orange peel, and just a touch of malty base. The only qualm with this beer is that the mouthfeel is just a LITTLE thin, but I can deal. TASTY TASTY BEVERAGE. Puts on a smile on my face, and gets me even more excited for dogfish head. joshwilfong (769), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Jul 4, 2008 nice rich brown appearance with large white head. flavor is somewhat understated for an IPA with a mild crystal malt flavor and just a decent hop aspect. somewhat underwelming, not a huge fan yumyum (113), barrie, Ontario, Canada Jul 1, 2008 pours amber colour with white head that dissipates quickly. flavour is what you would expect from an true ipa, not overly bitter. mouthfeel is decent but something about the finish left me disappointed. overall a good ipa. It is a little drier in the finish than I would like personally but while you are drinking it is ok. Blasphemies (45), Ontario, Canada Jun 30, 2008 bottle: amber in colour. Nice strong hop aroma. And the taste is very hoppy and slightly bitter. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Really doesn’t smell hoppy in the slightest. Faint cardboard. Slightly hazy amber. Head diminishes almost completely and very quickly. Considerably hoppy flavor, however, I’m not a big fan of the hop variety. A very good, balanced IPA, but not my favorite. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 28, 2008 Thin copper/amber with a small beige head. Grapefruit, grass nose, with a minerally and moderately malty taste, solid and drinkable if a little thin and oily. A nice default beer for the patio. cbeers21 (563), Miami, Florida, USA Jun 27, 2008 Penny colored without much head. Restrained hop presence on the nose as well as vanilla and caramel malts seeping through. Light pined flavor in the front matures into a citrusy, sweetened finish. Fairly well balanced and a solid effort.
