But then there are dozens--maybe hundreds--of these out there. This is a good traditional IPA. It’s nice to try these once in a while. While I am partial to the American ’extreme" IPA’s, there is a craft that goes into a good IPA that should be appreciated, regardless of the IBUs. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Scent is surprisingly light on hops or fruit. On palate, this beer is sweet and thick, and its hops quickly give way to a firm malt background. Finish is mildly bitter and coats the tongue. Overall, a very solid IPA, but I prefer a little more fruity hop presence. Odyn (211), New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 13, 2008 Pretty good IPA. Sweet smell of apricots on the nose, with a pleasant hoppiness. Lacking in that metallic taste so many hop heavy IPAs & PA have. MrBeerFanatic (350), jamestown, New York, USA
