Commercial Description:
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

A good drinker. Loads of hops, could use a bit more of a malt backbone though (only hints of caramel in the aroma).

On tap: Golden/orange in color, decent head. Aroma was a good amount of citrus/pine hops. Flavor had a nice bitterness and a medium texture. Good every day beer. Thanks robert!

Pours amber with a thin white head. Has a light citrus and floral hop aroma. A balanced malt and hop flavor. some grapefruit as well. Finishes slightly bitter, quick. Decent mouthfeel and carbonation. Thanks to DJ from the wine room for hooking me up with this!

12oz bottle, poured a hazy amber color, some head. Aroma of hops and malts. The taste is a bit dissapointing, like it was missing something, somewhat watery to me for an IPA. Decent but nothing special.

A really nice IPA, not too overpowering but smoother than most beers of this style. Good aroma and a sharp taste

Very nice, I actually prefer this to some of thier bigger IPA’s like UnEarthly. More fruity than the average IPA, but it still has all the hops. Only downfall I can see is that it looks a bit watery, but I can live with that. Sometimes its nice to go back to a regular beer like this and drop the whole extreme deal.

Bottle. Pour is slightly hazy amber with a white head. Aroma of citrus hops and earthy malts. Taste is grapefruit with a decent malt backing. A little sticky, some initial bitterness, but not much in the finish. Good solid IPA.

Pours golden with a small head. Strong hop smell emanates from the glass. Mouth feel is great, malt flavor balances the strong hoppiness very well. Another great beer from this brewery!
