heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Apr 6, 2007 Thanks to Duane for giving me a bottle. The body is relatively pale with a medium gold color that is tinted bronze. The white head is thin, but stays around. The aroma is interesting with some old dusty books, grapefruit and some toffee. The taste is fairly dry with a little bit of orange peel zest and some dried tobacco. There is also a dry note of hay in the finish. This is thin and uninteresting. I am not very impressed with this beer, maybe it is better when more fresh. barleyPops (1078), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA Apr 5, 2007 12 oz. bottle. pleasant aroma of citrus and some pine. color is a deep amber with a small slightly off-white head. flavor is not what many IPA’s have become. it is not a mass infusion of hops in your face type of brew. instead its kinda subtle but in a good way. citrus character seems to linger without a lot of bitterness. nice beer. BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA Mar 31, 2007 Bomber. Poured a clear copper with a thin off-white head that left light lacing. Big IPA aroma of grapefruit, orange, pine and a light black pepper background? The flavor put forth grapefruit, pine and a nice caramel background. Medium body and a mild bitterness throughout. Very Decent! ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA Mar 30, 2007 Bottle via trade with MrBendo. Pours a rather dark copper/ orange color with a frothy ivory head that overtook the glass I poured it into, after cleaning up the mess, the head was still as high as the rim of the glass. Resinous pine and orange aromas along with some sweet malt notes. Bitter and hop forward. Somewhat astringent. Flower, orange, grapefruit and pine hop flavors. Clean, bitter aftertaste. Discofish (152), USA Mar 27, 2007 Deep amber, very balanced blend of malts and hops. Nice boqet of fruit with a smooth malty finish. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Mar 25, 2007 On tap. Straw color with a thin, light white head. Nice moderately thick, sticky palate. Floral, citrusy hop aroma with a clean profile. Smooth taste, clean lemony hop finish that lingers nicely on the palate, but doesn’t wreck the palate. Very drinkable while still being hoppy. Marsiblursi (1628), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 24, 2007 (Bottle) Pours amber. Pine and light resiny notes in aroma with some fruity, flowery and light caramelly undertones. Clean maltiness.
