COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPAs namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden with fluffy, long lasting white head. Aroma is of citrusy hops, orange marmalade and biscuit malt. Body is medium and smooth for IPA. Taste is similar to aroma, very balanced for IPA. Finish is medium and mild. Im very disappointed with this brew. Maybe something wrong with the bottle.

Aroma: caramel malts, some fruits. Appearance: dark gold, clear, medium creamy head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: some light bitterness appearing. Overall: very nice IPA, not a typical though - malts dominate the hops. Pint at The Old Fountain Old Street, London.

Not bad. Grassy and piney notes from the hops with a smooth malty background.

Clear golden with a persistent thin white foamy head. Nose smelled like a earthy hop farm; lots of leafy notes with a touch of resin and soil. Flavor is hoppy bitter with loads of leafy cones and fresh cut grass. Wee undertone of biscuit malt sweetness.

Pours a clear light orange with light white head. Has a malty and citrus aroma. Has a stronger malt than Id expect with citrus hops and pine.

Bottle to glass. Gold pour with a nice thin white head that laces a bit. Nose is malt with some hop notes. Taste is sweet malt body with pine and grass hops in a bitter finish.

Rich, think and malty IPA, some refresher type vibes teamed with a classic flavour profile and nice copper colour. Not outstanding.

Clear dark amber with a 1/2" head that sticks around, swirls and beads of lace. Taste is full caramel malt that is injected with medium citrus hops midway through the palate The malt shares the finish. A lot of taste, good movement, good balance. Recommended.

The hops are the star here, only its not overwhelming at all. With a sweet malt aroma, and slightly bitter hop taste, this was a pretty good IPA.
