Commercial Description:
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

Poured from bottle. I smell hops, flowers, and cake -interesting. Has that IPA look. Well hopped, pine notes, malt in back. It is actually kinda mellow for an IPA, but hops are more evident as u drink. Finished well.

Lovely citrus hop aroma with a lemony profile. Pours slightly cloudy orange, foamy head. Citrus, lemon, with a dry hoppy finish. Mid range malt.

Bottle from fish and beer. Color is amber towards orange with a thin baige head. Lots of caramel in the aroma along with aromatic grapefruit hops. Very full bodied, bordering a mild us barley wine. Thick caramel sweetness with an outdrying amount of hop bitterness.

Clear golden of color with a small white head. An aroma of grapefruit, pines, flowers, citrus - pretty fresh in aroma. A flavor of sweets, hops, grapefruit, pines, citrus, honey and weak malty.

In Seattle drinking a draft IPA from NY; WTF. Hazy amber with a slight head. Decently strong citrusy piney hop aromas. Medium body. Good citrus and floral hop flavors on a sweet caramel base. Slight grainy malt taste to finish.

from crackedkettle.com - pours a slightly hazy dark orange colour with a modest foam left; solid aroma of quince marmalade, apricots and cream; rounded and juicy palate; medium to full malt body; a robust but not overwhelming bitterness introduces a long fruity and hoppy finish - another very nice beer from this brewery

Orangeish-brown pour with long-lasting foamy, fluffy white head. Nice subtle scent - grapefruits, some sweetness (perhaps caramel). Slightly sweet up front taste with a nice bitter finish, sorta floral in the taste too. All in all a quality IPA.
