COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

12oz bottle. Clear orange color, visibly active carbonation, minimal white head. Some lace. Super nice fruit/pine hops taste. Great, medium bitter taste. Nice, lighter, crisp carbonation. Great texture and aftertaste. An excellent IPA.

On tap. Very pleasant IPA; amber colour, flat head, alcohol not noticeable. Well balanced and fruity. So good!

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark orange with about 1 finger of off-white head. Aroma of citrus hops. Taste is medium bitter and lightly sweet. Taste of citrus and pine. Medium bodied with a thin and oily texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, very good. Something I will plan on drinking again.

Keg at Cask. Light amber colour, and pretty good looking beer. Aroma is peach and orange, maybe a bit of kiwi. Full on fruit salad! Bit of toasty bread malt too. Taste is very fruity too. A really nice beer.

Bottle - 355ml. Amber body with a thin, lasting white creamy head. Wonderful fresh hoppy aroma with malty, flowery, and fruity hints. Its sharp hoppy taste is not too agressive and hides the alcohol well. It carries grapefruit, woody, and some honeyish notes. Ends with a long bitter finish. Very good IPA.

nice light crisp ipa. fresh floral hop aroma but fairly subdued for an ipa, and alcohol is well hidden. pours clear orange with small rocky white head. well balanced, nice fruity hop finish, but a bit too mellow.

Pours a light copper color, clear and clean. Light head laces the rim. Not much aroma, but great hoop taste. Good mouthfeel. Very mice, not too harsh, aftertaste!

Discovered Southern Tier a little over a year ago and it’s now one of my favorite brewers. Wood and malt aroma. Taste starts smooth and finishes with bitter, grassy hops. Another fine beer from Southern Tier.
