COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

Bottle- Pours a fine golden color with a moderate head. Lemony nose of a typical IPA, but not too strong. Taste is moderately bitter with the grassy hops at the end. There is little here that is not average for an IPA.

A solid IPA but not my cup of Tea. Too grassy, hearty and aggressive, not so enjoyable and refreshing

Tap@BQ, Milano Aroma of caramel and hay. Hazy golden color with frothy white head. Taste of caramel, bitter hops. Medium body, oily-creamy texture. Nice beer. Reminds me of Great Divide’s Titan IPA.

Floral notes in the nose. Sticky hops on the palate. Head that leaves lacing with every sip. Not overly bitter. Well balanced. Decent.

Tap. Half-finger of foamy/bubbly white head; clearer dark yellow-orange. Citrusy and very floral hops as well as candy in the aroma. Very floral in terms of the hop flavors, but fairly tame. Not very dry and finishes with a sweetness that bugs me to death in IPAs. Medium body with tiny carbonation bubbles.

No info on what hops are used. A foam as lumps as whipped cream into the beer. Good lemon taste and fine bitterness.
