5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
I first tried this beer in an Ale House in Charlotte, being from the Southern Tier of NY I was amazed and how flavorful it was now I dare to say I cannot stop drinking it. Buyers beware!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very clear and copper/gold in color, this filtered IPA has a fine, bright white head. Man, this looks like a clean beer. A unique, inviting sweetness, decorated with a touch of straw, greets the nose just before light, yet acute, hops join in. The beer is thin, and yet still offers a great amount of caramel sweetness. It’s thin enough not to get in the way of the very nice hop profile, which is high in bitterness, slightly resinous, and offers a faint flavor of citrus and pine. Hay steps in at the finish, swatting off some of that caramel sweetness. All-around, it’s wickedly well-balanced and very sessionable, offering an enjoyable hop experience while still remaining relatively thin-bodied, yet slightly creamy. Love it.

A good session IPA. Not one that will knock your socks off but not one you will hate either. This is just a solid, quality drinkable IPA.

March 2010. Awesome IPA with lots of hops, pine and resin aromas. Bitter tropical fruit, flowers and sweet grassy flavors. Long dry finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nitro draft. Pours gold with a dense whitr head. Grass and citrus aroma not diminished by the nitro. Taste is the same. Nice assertive hoppiness. Dry finish. Very smooth and easy drinking.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden-orange hue, white head and lace. Earthy hops, caramel malt, crisp carbonation. Smooth, drinkable, refreshing, and enough malt to balance the aggressive hopping. Mild sweetness midway through. Finishes malty with an earthy kick and minimal bitterness. Tasty!
A true East Coast IPA. It's rare that I like a Single IPA, yet that's what happened here.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A reasonable hop-driven APA but the palate doesn’t deliver what the aroma promises. It’s in a similar league to Matilda Bay Alpha which means a bit 2-dimensional for me to choose to drink at home, although I’d be happy if I found this stocked in the pub (it’s not).

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: DEC 4, 2013 Another great American IPA. It is well hopped and 7.3% alc. The picture of Southern Tier label does not look like that anymore, could do with an update!
