COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

Oh my, yes! Beautiful dark amber pour under a faint off white head. Nicely hoppy, very well balanced, very nice experience.

Pours golden from tap with a fairly robust white head. Subtle floral notes on the nose. Nice citrus taste on tongue with some hop bitterness on the finish. Solid example of the style.

This beer has grown on me over the years. Not too big, not too small. Has a lot going on but remains pretty balanced.

A - Pours a rich copper-orange color with a big two-fingers of frothy off-white head. The head fades down fairly slowly leaving tons of lacing behind. S - Aroma is a fairly potent, but well balanced mix of sweet caramel malts and citrus/grapefruit hops. T - Starts off again with a nice balance of sweet caramel malts and grapefruit hops and bitterness. Through the middle, the bitterness gets a bit stronger alongside a bit of deeper bready malts. The finish is a mix of some sweet caramel malts and bitterness that lingers. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth and very refreshing, especially at the finish with is very dry and crisp. D - Very drinkable. The hop profile is very nice from start to end and very well balanced with the caramel malts.

Good beer. Middle of the road bitterness which most will like. Nice color and aroma slightly piney.
