Commercial Description:
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

great citrus aroma, loads of grapefruit, oranges, lemon, mandarin, just a wicked aroma. The flavour is again very hoppy, but not very bitter tough, its a sweet IPA, no super bitter, and the malt is a little lacking, its there but not as much as i would like. but its very hoppy, and the citrus notes are what i like, and this is a great IPA.

Bottled 355ml. Ordered from crackedkettle.com. It pours a clear amber beer with a small off-white head. Interesting hoppy aroma with green tea, turkish delight, jarred pickles, overripe orange, quite a lot of melissa, coriander and some grapefruit showing up. Surprisingly low bitterness in the taste. Sweet. The malt is too present to my liking. Decent hop profile. Medium bodied. Subtle. Hints of turkish delight, melissa, rose, raisin, green tea and grapefruit. Low carbonation. Leafy. Some sticky spotty lacework. A lot of liquorice allsorts and mint appearing in the finish which is dryish. A very gentle IPA.

Source: 12 oz bottle purchased from Friar Tuck’s in Bloomington.
Glass: Poured into my perfect pint glass.
Appearance: Hazy gold pour with a two finger white head.
Aroma: Very grassy. Hints of pine and citrus, but they do not dominate.
Flavor: Very grassy here as well. Solid IPA, but not my flavor profile.
Palate: Medium body with solid carbonation and a slightly watery mouthfeel.
Overall: Not the best IPA I’ve had. Don’t care for the grassy ones.

Big nose. Sweet and resiny. Great amber color. Flavor mix of sweet and bitter. Medium body, a little creamy. Finally a N.Y state ipa to get excited about. Thanks Jah Noth Rerate - upon refelection I put this a tad high still better than most N.Y. ipa's i've tried

Bottle. Aroma grassy, citrus, mango hops. flavor increasingly mango, tropical, some grassiness lingering. Very little malt to speak of, yet the hops are still allowed to shine without becoming abrasive. Still, just a little weird without any noticeable malt presence.

clear orange/gold, white hed. aroma of perfume, detergent, ctirus, pine, caramel, flowers and mild cotton candy. flavour is softer than the aroma would indicate with notes of fruit cocktail and melon with carmale and earthy resiny hops. very nice.

12oz bottle from Chevy Chase in DC. Triple-hopped, huh? Just like Miller Lite! Pours a clear golden color with a medium-sized white head and some lacing. Aroma is sweet pale malt, grain, floral and citrus hops. Flavor is a little grainy and sweet with lots of pale malt and some citrusy hops. Medium body with lively carbonation and some hop resins on the palate.
