COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

A good session IPA. Not one that will knock your socks off but not one you will hate either. This is just a solid, quality drinkable IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flight #2 at Southern Tier with koleminer20. Aroma is pine, grass, slight tropical fruit, resin, some dankness. Appearance is golden amber, off white head, clear. Taste is pine, malt bitterness, grass, floral, not much tropical fruit. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, bitter malt and pine aftertaste. Overall, meh. A wee bit too much malt.

A nice bitter, hoppy, drier version of IPA. One of the best. Only drawback is high alcohol.

Bottle - Very typical IPA style beer. Balanced hops and malt. Dry on the palate. I get citrus and grass flavors. Nothing very unique but a solid drinkable IPA.

Golden with a thin head. Faint grassy aroma. Grassy taste with a dry finish. Decent IPA.

Good hoppy/sweet aroma. Light colored with a huge white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Tastes great. Just enough hop bitterness, and that comes through at the very end of each taste. The palate is thick for the style - not watery, very well done

Average appearance.. very bubbly, not much head to speak of. Aroma is very nice.. clean, floral, sweet hoppy aroma. Taste is clean, citrus floral hops.. a hint of sweet malt. Palate is above average for an IPA. Good quality IPA.

Bottled. Decent IPA. Pale body, big white head. The aroma is fruity, the taste has some sourness, rhubarb and raspberry.

Poured from the bottle. Hazy orange amber. Mixed bubble head holds up a bit. Nose is citrus piney hop. Sticky lipped first taste. Honey grapefruit pine cone...even a little tart sap...grows on you.

Bottle@home, from Constantino’s, Cleveland, USA. Medium bit sweet parfymic/artificial aroma of overaged mango. Golden color with medium/small white head and clear liquid. Medium slightly sweet’n’sour taste of overaged mango and malts, some citrus. Unbalanced. Medium taste spectrum and long hoppy bitter aftertaste. Medium/light body with medium carbonation. Overall, fresh with basic, even bit organic American nuances. Frighteningly good for drinking, but not so good for tasting.
