COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

Deep amber, very balanced blend of malts and hops. Nice boqet of fruit with a smooth malty finish.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange-amber with a gigantic foamy head that fades incredibly slowly. Looks like whipped cream on tap of the beer. Hate that in any beer but especially an IPA. Aroma is sugary fruit, flowers, and pine. Tastes pretty sweet with some mild bitterness. Lots of flowers, odd fruitiness, pine, and sugar candy. Not a fan.

Backlog. On tap at Green Lion Inn and bottled a couple of times. Your standard US-IPA, doesn’t really stand out to the rest.

Part of a 12-pack IPA sampler. Little head, no lacing, and to clear for an IPA. But after the appearance, it got better. Smooth, low alcohol taste, little bitterness.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein oranges Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, hopfig fruchtig, bitter. Geschmack intensiv fruchtig hopfig, stark malzig.

Tap at Pizza Luce. Amber with a huge white head (nitro). Big resiny grapefruit hops and caramel. Taste is bitter most of the way through. Very light and creamy.

Clear copper appearance with a thin white head that laced nicely around the class. Aroma was floral hops and pine. Taste of hops all the way through. I really liked this IPA! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

dlihcsnatas (231) - Texas, USA - MAR 10, 2014
Amber brew with a sweet and earthy aroma. Tastes of malts takes away from the hops and leaves the hops as a secondary rather than a primary hit with this so called IPA. While not horrible it is not what I expected from an IPA. Too much sweet malt in it and too many hops to give it a really defined hop flavor. Doesn’t need ot be so complex, just needs to be good. Overall a big flop on IPA but still a drinkable brew.

The hops hits you in the first sip, but not too much. A great floral piney smell. A great balanced beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear golden yellow with a big white fluffy head that never quite goes away. Aroma is light floral hops and honey. The taste is light, crisp and refreshing. There’s some floral and citrus flavors. The bitterness is pretty tame. A little oily, resin sort of flavor. Super easy to drink, better than average IPA.
