COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2014 Bottle: Super black pour, creamy khaki head that settles quickly to a chunky collar. Aroma is roasted coffee beans, mild ash, some brown sugar, & some extra residual sweetness. Taste is pretty sweet up front; lots of milky sweetness, cream, smooth chocolate notes. Coffee actually kind of takes a back seat, but it’s present mid-palate. Timid coffee beans, still with lots of creamy sweetness underneath. Finish of mostly sweet brown sugar. Overall, it has decent flavor, but is suffers a little from the old "Southern Tier sweetness" syndrome.

Yet another quality ST brew. This one is true to its name. Smells like coffee. Tastes like coffee. Coffee lingers. Bordering on a simpleton -- not much going on with the base stout -- this is nevertheless quite good. B+/A- ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Full frontal coffee beans, dark roast, fruity, peanut butter beans. CO2 and beans add bitterness, malts subdued. Lighter body given intense flavors. Not syrupy, dry finish. Bit of unfermentables, banana yeast. Well put together. Lets the coffee shine. Well put together,

Bottle from MGM Eagan, Great chocolate and coffee roast aroma, taste is very similar, like a choc covered coffee bean.

On tap at Ridgewood (Raleigh). Pours dark as a dark and stormy night. Coffee and malt dominate the aroma, ditto for the taste. Just what would be expected from a beer called "Jah-va". These flavors meld nicely with this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber stored for about a year - jet black pour with not much head and that even disappears pretty quickly. Has a strong mocha aroma and taste with some hints of brown sugar, milk chocolate and vanilla. The mouthfeel is slick and medium heavy. Has a light malty chocolate finish. Nice!

Pretty much black with a small brownish head. Aroma of milk, coffee, and roasted grain. The taste is mildly bitter, roasty, and slightly sweet. Pretty full bodied, almost no carbonation, slight dryness, and well hidden alcohol.

Big time coffee aroma. Fairly bitter and acidic. Bitterness lasts through the finish and sticks to the palate.

Southern tier tasting at coles. Dark dark brown black thick pour with a big healthy foamy light ashy brown head. Big coffee nose with some hop bitterness. Taste is sweet coffee up front with a bitter roasted finish. Pretty thick but not too heavy. Medium short finish.
