Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

Very, very dark. Chewy-oily texture. Big sweetness. Huge, warming alcohol. Coffee and dark chocolate ... quite a bit of chocolate, actually. Cakey yeast. Nice coffee elements, and a bit of wood as well. Spicy and a little nippy, in a way. Tasty beer.

Bomber, courtesy if IPFreely. Nice mix of roasty espresso and chewy hops. Palate is sticky and rich with a nice graininess. Tastes like chocolate covered espresso beans.

Bottle: Black in color, thin brown head, spotty lacing.   Huge earthen coffee aroma with strong hints of charred wood and campfire.   Sweet roasted malt start, very sweet actually, chewy, loads of apple skin, charred wood, and coffee.   Fairly oily, and wow, yeah, amazingly sweet and malty.   Hop profile is is very minimal, but tiz noticeable.   Body is huge, mouthfeel is sticky.   Strong coffee lingers well after the finish.   Remains tacky, roasty, malty, and very sweet.   This is a strong dark dessert beer if I have ever had one.   Thanks Dan for this lovely brew!

Nose of coffee, berries, alcohol, soy sauce, caramel, flowers, and grass. The brew pours black with a dark brown head that presents with a nice casual cascade. The head is mostly diminishing with light lace. The brew is an intense tornado of complexity swirling about chaotically on the tongue. The flavor is like a brick in the face. The enormously full body is soft with an alcoholic & sticky feel to the finish.

Blind rating. Pours opaque with a tan edgy head. Aroma is huge floral perfumey hops, a dark, rich chocolate bar follows, deep roasted coffee and malt (toast). Moderate acidity, heavily bitter dark chocolate, coffee with heavy hops and a slightly sweet molasses finish. Dark and full bodied, smooth creamy palate.

A bit of a World Wide Stout wanna be. Unfortunately this puppy falls short. Not at all well balanced, to the point that the alcohol heat just takes over and that’s all there is. Smells like chocolate, alcohol and smoked fruits. Taste was surprising lacking the coffee aspect. Far to hot and bitter on the finish.

100% blind rating. Body is black (opaque, flashlight tested). Aroma is heavily malty (chocolate, roasted grain, coffee), with notes of vanilla, wood, alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately bitter. Full body, watery/syrupy texture, lively/soft carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Decadent! Delicious.

Hot, but beautiful!
Beer pours an opaque oily black-brown with a small, light brown, frothy, mostly and rapidly diminishing head. High ABV is visable as long legs on the glass. The aroma is big on the coffee: malty with heavy notes of roasted grain, genuine dark-roasted coffee beans, moderate chocolate and light molasses; hoppy with heavy notes of resin/pine, moderate notes of herbs, light notes of green grass; yeasty with a trace of dough; miscellaneous notes of heavy, hot notes of alcohol, light notes of top soil.
The flavor is heavily bittersweet with a long, tummy-warming, moderately sweet, lightly bitter and acidic finish.
The body is full, the texture is velvety-syrupy and the carbonation is softer-than-average.
