4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
I love this beer and have just never rated it til now. I wanted to rate it when I first poured it cuz it wasn’t tasting right to me, it was because it was way too cold. Make sure you drink this at close to room temp. When it was cold it lost so much of the java, coffee and chocolateness, this beer is great because it has a real coffee bean flavor more than brewed coffee, it is thick, complex and in your face...make sure the temperature is right though I ruined the first half of this beer

Why was this discontinued again? Will something better replace it? Fingers crossed.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Grado alcolico inafferrabile.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From memory. Had this before my RB days. Apparently thy don’t make it anymore. Similar profile to the other black water series. This one had a lot of coffe and was probably the best I the bunch. Unfortunately this and the mocha which are the two best were the ones discontinued.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle split with friends. Probably the least interesting of the imperial stout series from Southern Tier.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz bottle (3/2012) pours near flat brown/black with a few bubbles. Nose is sweet chocolate and artfical roast coffee. Taste is tootsie roll, dusty cocoa, some dark coffee, hershey syrup, boozy. Finish is sweet syrupy hershey and chocolate, a little coffee. Not great at this stage.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very good imperial stout but it is way too sweet for my liking. Very sugary and heavily coffee flavored. Smells sweet and like coffee

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
I was disappointed on this one. Not being made any more and I found some so I bought a couple bombers. Too sweet for a stout. Not much, if any, coffee taste.
