COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

Bottle from Kenny Road Market, poured into snifter. Pours black with a finger of tan head. The aroma is full of coffee with some caramel malt notes. The flavor is similar, but the coffee really takes charge over the anise, coffee, and hop flavors. Full bodied and robust. Good stuff.

"bittersweet coffee greets the nose first thing. i really liked this beer, but even so found the chocolate/coffee balance of the Mokah to be the X factor making me love that one more. this was ever so slightly thinner and more carbonated that OAT, but smelled amazing and was a treat just the same. ST knows how to make a stout!"

Bottled. Dark ruby color, no head. Deep aroma of fermented coffee, acidic fruits, a hint of dark chocolate. Sweet, berryish fermented/alcoholic flavor with loads of caramel, fruitiness, vanilla and woody notes. Sweet and sugary flavor, port-like berries, loads of coffee in the finish. Oily and heavy drinkability. Small niche, big beer!

Bottle at home. Roasted coffee smell, rich coffee taste blends well with chocolate roasted malts.

Rated from notes taken 22 Jun 2011, Southern Tier Beer Tasting -- Great mix of Stout and Coffee. Coming from a guy that doesn’t much like coffee. (I need to try this beer again now that I drink coffee pretty regularly)

22 oz. bottle from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, coffee, chocolate with a more subdued sweetness than other ST beers like Creme Brulee and Choklat. I generally like all these in smaller amounts. Tasty enough, but not something I seek out often.

Backlog. Bottle @ Green Lion Inn 2011, aged for about 12 months in average conditions. Their dark beers always excite me, and this is truly fabulous.

Bomber from Tosa Wine and Spirits. Pours an opaque black with a tan head leaving some spots of lace. Aroma has heavy roast, chocolate and caramel. Taste is of sweet caramel, lactose, heavy espresso and bakers chocolate. Bitter and strong, with a bit of a chocolate chip cookies factor. Full bodied and lowly carbonated. Quite strong and rough. Finishes to the bitter side of bittersweet, with some alcohol presence. And rough. Very tasty and very full bodied - and very extreme espresso.

beige head disappears without lacing. coffee coloured. aroma reminds of peas, sweet, earthy, coffee, chocolate. taste like aroma, sweet aftertaste boozy, roasted malts, porto. quite dense mouthfeel, medium carbonation. bottle 65cl

Grado alcolico inafferrabile.

From memory. Had this before my RB days. Apparently thy don’t make it anymore. Similar profile to the other black water series. This one had a lot of coffe and was probably the best I the bunch. Unfortunately this and the mocha which are the two best were the ones discontinued.
