Lots of chocolate and some coffee. Burnt aromas and flavors. Not taken to the extreme like some of their other styles. Sweetness. Vanilla. More drinkable than Choklat.

Draught. Dark brown pour with a tiny light brown head. Aroma of coffee and burned nuts. Full body with the taste of coffee, hops, burned almonds and vanilla. Alcohol present in the finish.

Very nice flavor of coffee, and I have to say I was a little worried about the sticky sweet overdone ness of this one like in ST’s Oat, Choklat, and Creme Brulee, but this one was perfect. The coffee comes through potent and fresh, almost green fresh, and the roast complex seems a bit underdone but nice the same. I really hated the palate on this beer though. Holy god is it thick. It’s like drinking syrup, and I had this one room temp. Yikes. Nice beer none the less though.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a black body with a dense, very creamy, chocolate milk colored head that dissipates slowly and leaves a good amount of lacing. Lots of rich, sweet, chalky chocolate and mild, fresh coffee. Light prunes, burnt sugar, and roast with a faint citrus hop backing. More and more fruity-boozy-citrus comes through as it warms. Flavor is big and sweet with mainly a rich, thick chocolate milk-like chocolate taste. Moderate amount of mild coffee roast with a faint smoke and fruit in the finish. Mainly sweet and rich chocolate, however, like the aroma, more and more of the booze comes through. Almost turns into a chocolate-coffee american strong ale taste. Full bodied and creamy with a nice lingering sweetness. The aftertaste doesn’t have a lot of bitterness and only a faint coffee note. Overall, could use some more balancing roasts or hops to even out the incredibly rich chocolate taste. Still a good stout though and takes an interesting turn as it warms.

16oz draft pours jet back with a thick and fluffy tan head. Big aroma of coffee, burnt sugars, grain, and bread. Big drying bitterness in the beginning of the taste. Thick oily body with some sweetness at the end. Some chocolate and slightly burnt coffee flavors. Too much of the alcohol burn. Not able to hide it in all that was going on.

Bomber from Tweety; almost a year old. Perhaps my palate is wrecked by the Bourbon County Stout I just had, but I’m not feeling this. Pours surprisingly thin dark brown with minimal head. Very sweet, with more chocolate notes than coffee. Slight roast on nose but weird tanginess as well. Some oxidation going on. Unexpected odd fruitiness. Thin aromas, but somehow quite boozy on the palate. Okay, but very different from what I expected. Drink your coffee stouts fresh, people.

huge chocolate nose, sweet and reminiscent of fresh baked brownies. flavor is of chocolate covered espresso beans, you can almost feel the crunch like one of willy wonkas wild inventions. beneath it all a huge hop profile, yet sweetness lingers, a very wet finish. another humungous BIG beer from southern tier

Bomber cellared for four months. Loarge roast-coffee aroma rather full-bodied without thin edges. Dark caramel in this not-quite black beer. Dark ,dark-red around the edges. Strongly rich mocha-coffee roast with charcoal and primeval forest. Broiled squash with butter comes to mind - roasted in a camp fire. This beer is very sophisticated in its delivery of hops with a wide range of mid flavor and strong bittering. More flavors come through as you drink this malt party. Oak and cedar... Short finish for such a great beer.
