Commercial Description:
Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

Bottle from beerbill. Poured dark, dark brown into a tulip with a fairly small off-white head that receded quickly to a collar leaving a little lacing. Sweet malts and roasted coffee dominate the nose with vanilla and dark fruits in the background. A hint of alcohol is evident in the aroma as well. The taste starts with semisweet chocolate and sweet malts before giving way to the coffee flavor which lingers through the finish with a slight bitterness. The mouthfeel is full-bodied with little carbonation and provides a sticky coating of malts on the palate.

Black with some brown in the color would be clear and a smallish tan head. Smell is coffe, fresh ground coffee, chocolate, and dark roasted malts. Taste is coffee, chocolate, and dark roastiness. Good.

Pours a pitch black with a thin creamy tan head that leaves behind moderate lacing. Aroma is strong roasted coffee, vanilla, burnt sugar, chocolate, and dark malts. Flavour is spot on, big dark roast coffee flavours, bit of black licorice, lots of chocolate, caramel, a bit of sweet alcohol. The palate is creamy and warm from the alcohol, perfect mouthfeel. The best coffee stout ive had so far. top notch.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a light tan frothy head that leaves some spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted coffee, chocolate, dark malts and a hint of vanilla. Flavor is creamy and smooth and very intense with rich roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, warming alcohol and a touch of molasses. Medium to full bodied with low carbonation and has a nice dry bitter finish. Awesome brew

Pours dark black with a creamy tan head. Coffee taste but I expected it to be stronger. Alcohol can be tasted but is hidden pretty well. Overall a good beer.

This is a solid imperial Stout. Pours a dark black with a thin tan head. Very good coffee and chocolate aroma. The beer is a little thick and sweet with some chocolate. Great coffee flavor. The 12% is incredibly hidden. Good stuff. Another good beer from Southern Tier.

Bottle marked that it was brewed in Winter 2008, which I find physically impossible, considering it is currently SUMMER, 2008! Either way, nice stout, but I am more of a Chokolat guy than a Jah-va guy. Pours with a largish, light brown head covering a black body. Aroma is strong coffee, alcohol, chocolate, vanilla and roasted barely. Taste is strong, sweet cohocolate, creamy, and a bit of mocha in the back. Creamy mouthfeel, with light bubbles.
