Commercial Description:
Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

Courtesy of Skyview. Black color with a medium head. Light coffee aroma. Plenty of coffee and roasted barley taste. The coffee comes out almost sour and overly acidic, but still good.

Pours very dark brown with a short lasting mocha brown head that leaves a little bit of lacing. Smells heavily of roasted malts and coffee with plenty of powedered cocoa and some cream. Tastes more pleasantly cocoa like than Choklat did to me. It makes me think of a hybrid between hot cocoa and coffee with lots of roastiness. I personally prefer this to Choklat by leaps and bounds but I think I’m in the minority on that one. Mouth feel is medium but its a little over carbonated for my taste. A pretty good, coffee imperial stout.

Bottle; rating 1200. Dark brown in color with a small to medium, short lasting khaki head. Aroma of roasted malt with pronounced coffee undertones; some toffee and cocoa notes. Enjoyed the coffee in the flavor, definitely done with some moderation; I’m not a big coffee fan. With some warmth, the coffee did come out to play a bit more. Alcohol well hidden, only the slightest touch of throat warming. A careful balance between bitter and sweet components. Found it to be a bit oaty, which I liked. Overall it was very good and easy to drink.

This is more of a Vanilla Stout. Aroma is milk and coffee with loads of vanilla. Taste is the same with some milk chocolate and roasted coffee beans. Palate is super sweet but not cloying. Slightly carbonated but enough to offset the sweetness.

22 oz. brown bomber bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a dark, inky chocolate brown, with slight red highlights around the edges. Aromas are of roasted coffee beans, baking chocolate, some alcohol. Flavors are of bittersweet baking chocolate, strong espresso, pipe tobacco, alcohol. Thick mouthfeel, slick, oily, somewhat chewy. Alcohol is slightly subdued, but sneaks up on you in a hurry. Finishes slight dry, somewhat chalky & roasty, but delicious all the same

22 oz bottle of the 2008 version. Pours opaque black with a nice medium tan head. Aromas of roasty malts, dark chocolate, coffee, a bit of alcohol. Nice taste of coffee dominates the flavor, dark chocolate, roastiness, a bit of dark fruit. Certainly wouldn’t guess it’s 12%. Creamy, smooth mouthfeel. Nice and enjoyable.

Courtesy of Gillard. Pours deep dark with thin mocha head. The aroma is the obvious label stated coffee, some chocolate, a bit of prunes and caramel. The taste is rich maltiness consisting of dark roasted malts, caramel and chocolate. The coffee comes in near midway and builds some toward the finish. It isn’t the usual Folgers coffee type grains but more a quality brand of rich dark roasty French Roast. In the finish I get a mild warming sensation from the alcohol. Another amazing brew from these fine people.
