Commercial Description:
Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

Deep black in colour, near headless - just leaves a small beige head ring around the glass. The aroma is deeply roasty, loads of coffee and dark chocolate, lots of malt, light sweetness and light alcohol. The flavour is of intense roasted malts, dark chocolate and cold coffee, alcohol, vanilla and espresso. Dry bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes chalky, bitter, dry with just a bit of alcohol warmth. This is one big beer.

Pours a black black color with a small dark brown head. Aroma is of a lot of coffee, just plain coffee. Flavor is also of a lot of coffee, but just the general stout coffee taste, not an in your face experince like i expected like i got from the choklat and pumking.

This bottled brew from Indianapolis, IN poured a small sized head of foamy dark brown colored finely sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a semi-opaque dark brown colored soda pop like body. The aroma was of nice chocolate coffee and malty notes. The mouth feel was strongly tingly from start to finish. The strong flavor of dark malts hops coffee and chocolate was mildly vinous and very yummy.

Snifter. Pours pitch black with modest tan head. Aromas of espresso, roasted malt, chocolate, and peanut butter. Smells like a roasted mocha with a dash of hop content. Flavors are deeply roasted though sweet. Coffee is quite noticable. Among other flavors are roasted, though not burnt malt, as well as a bit of bitter chocolate. Balance is great and coffee adds a great twist of flavors- I’m such a sucker for coffee stouts!

22 oz. bottle. Pours a dark black. Thin, light brown head. Nice roasted coffee aroma. Very thick mouthfeel, smooth and creamy. Sweetness upfront, but the finish is long and bitter. Some warming alcohol, but not overpowering.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a jet-black body with a finger-thick mocha head. Roasty aroma with lots of coffee (obviously), vanilla beans, dark chocolate and hints of caramel. Goes down creamy and smooth as silk, but a tad thin. Starts off pretty sweet. Lots of caramel and vanilla upfront. Finishes with a roasty coffee bitterness that lingers. Some warming alcohol throughout.

22 ounce bottle, pour is pitch black with a cream head. Aroma is straight malt and coffee. The taste is dominated by malt but that couples well with the coffee. Blue Mountain Coffee is some of the best coffee I have ever had and it stands to reason that a beer brewed with this coffee is solid. Well the Jah-Va lives up to it’s billing it is a coffee flavored stout with the best. Would buy again

This was a really good IMPY, although the label and description is off just a touch. There is zero coffee flavor in this at all, NONE, zip. notta. Minus that problem, this was a very BIG and toasted roasted impy stout. lots of complexity with fruit choclate caramel and heavy roast. I really liked it, but there is NO coffee in it!
