COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

Black with thick, creamy dark chocolate head. Aroma and flavor is rich roasted coffee, dark chocolate, brown suger and alcohol. Body is rich and thick and lays heavy on the palate. Nice alcohol warming kick.

Pours pitch black color with medium beige head. Aroma of lightly peated chocolate, coffee, mild cocoa, mild toasted malts, sugar candy and tar notes. Flavour of ashy chocolate, sweet sugary coffee, mild peat notes, roasted malts and sugar candy. Silky smooth palate, dry, sweet and lightly fruity finish. Complex and flavorful brew. Excellent.

22oz bottle. Pitch-black color, some light brown head, little lace. Light, crisp carbonation, big body. A bit sticky. Aroma is chocolate and some coffee... But it’s not roasty at all (the way I like my coffee-heavy beers to be). The aroma is a flat one, it’s good, but it’s sort of one-dimensional. It doesn’t waft up through the nose much at all (the FBS is my benchmark for this). Taste is not too strong, a mix of bitter and sweet with possibly a bit too much sweetness. This is still good... But, just as with the ST Choklat, I was expecting much more.

Pours dark black with a small off white top. Aroma is intense coffee and roasted malt. Taste is mostly dark coffee and then backed with roasted malt. The coffee is mostly lost on me as I’m not a coffee lover but thanks to the Ottawa tasting group for providing this.

65 cl bottle @ home, no BBE info
Aroma has mocha, hops and some vegetables. Flavour has lots of mocha with some dark chocolate, hints of licorice and vegetables. Finish has some fruity hops. Smooth and somewhat creamy palate, that could be richer though. Had two glasses of this, the one at room temperature was better.

22 ounce bottle. Pours black with minimal head and no head retention. Aroma of spicy coffee, caramel, chocolate, and an earthiness. The flavor consists of sweetened coffee, some spices, roasted malts, and caramel. A nice coffee stout, would be great by a fire on a cold mountain morning.

Bottled 650ml. -from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Deep black coloured, small creamy brown head, woody and coffee nose. Roasted malt, heavy roasted coffee and dark chocolate with a bit too aromatic hops. Also hint of wood in rather roasty and slight bitter finish. Alcohol well balanced. Superb and enjoyable imperial stout. 11.0%

Tämä Southern Tierin impy on musta olut beigellä vaahdolla. Tuoksu on paahtunut, kahvinen, hieman lakritsinen ja makeutta huokuva. Maultaan olut on liian makea. Kahviakin on jonkin verran. Humalointi ei maussa tunnu vaan makeus dominoi, eikä tee tästä kovin helppoa juotavaa. Paksua tavaraahan tämä on, niin kuin asiaan kuuluu.
