There’s a lingering sweetness in the finish. This is definitely too sweet for heavy drinking, but it’s definitely satisfying. Crit (2417), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada

Aroma is roasty roasty coffee, not much sweetness. Taste evens it out more, some sweet chocolate mixed with the strong coffee bean flavor, and pleasingly bitter at the end. Body is thick and almost chewy. badlizard (2409), Berkeley, California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Bottle courtesy of Hogtownharry: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a small dark brown foamy head with average retention. Aroma of coffee with some roasted malt and some bitterness. Some roasted malt, medium bitterness and some coffee thought not nearly as much as expected, also dominates taste. Alcohol is well hidden and body is above average but lack some of the creamy texture I would have liked. Overall, this is a very good imperial stout thought I would have expected and loved a more prominent coffee flavour.
