Sød kaffe i duften. Smagen er kaffe domineret med en fin bitterhed fra malten. En tand sød og mundfylden er ikke så imponerende. Ellers fin øl. fishingnet (1047), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Bottle courtesy Gillard. Pours black with a one finger tan head that leaves good lacing. Heavy aroma of coffee roasted malt, and bitter chocolate. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium full mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and very smooth alcohol. Damn good. haddon90 (1044), Alexandria, Virginia, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 4, 2007 22 oz bottle, 2006. Enjoyed with friends on Labor Day. Oily dark pour with a light head. Great aroma. It’s all about dessert. Tons of chocolate covered espresso beans are what comes to mind with a little alcohol mixed in. Yum. The flavor is every bit as good as the aroma would leave you to believe. Tons of chocolate and coffee, but there are other enjoyable flavors in there as well (though I didn’t take notes on those). Body is spot on for this one…Silky and coating. Flavors really linger. I’ve got to get more. Finally, I can’t believe how well this aged. I’ve just had it in my garage for over a year and it was still in great shape. bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA

Creamy roasted malt and coffee smell. Sweet taste and creamy great palate. The taste and palate both remind me of hot chocolate with melting marshmallows in it. One of the better brews from Southern Tier. Ron (1041), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 7, 2008 22 oz. bottle. Received in trade from JB last year. I let it age a year so that it would mellow. Pours a dark black like dirty mortor oil. Thin, light brown head. Nice roasted coffee aroma with alcohol. Very thick mouthfeel, smooth and creamy. Sweetness upfront, but the finish is long and bitter. Alot of warming alcohol. shawnm213 (1039), South Bend, Indiana, USA
