Commercial Description:
Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

Flaske: Sort øl med et minimalt skumhoved. Ikke så god karbonering på denne øl, som Southern Tier ellers normalt har. Sød kaffe i duften. Smagen er kaffe domineret med en fin bitterhed fra malten. En tand sød og mundfylden er ikke så imponerende. Ellers fin øl.

Bottle courtesy Gillard. Pours black with a one finger tan head that leaves good lacing. Heavy aroma of coffee roasted malt, and bitter chocolate. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium full mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and very smooth alcohol. Damn good.

Bottle. Pours a deep black color with a nice tan head. Roasted chocolate aroma, with some smoked malt and oats. Thick coffee flavor with some roasted malt and a hint of chocolate. Nice sweet finish. Great stout!

22 oz bottle, 2006. Enjoyed with friends on Labor Day. Oily dark pour with a light head. Great aroma. It’s all about dessert. Tons of chocolate covered espresso beans are what comes to mind with a little alcohol mixed in. Yum. The flavor is every bit as good as the aroma would leave you to believe. Tons of chocolate and coffee, but there are other enjoyable flavors in there as well (though I didn’t take notes on those). Body is spot on for this one…Silky and coating. Flavors really linger. I’ve got to get more. Finally, I can’t believe how well this aged. I’ve just had it in my garage for over a year and it was still in great shape.

1-23-08 bottle thanks to Miketd
Black with nice big tan head. Creamy roasted malt and coffee smell. Sweet taste and creamy great palate. The taste and palate both remind me of hot chocolate with melting marshmallows in it. One of the better brews from Southern Tier.

22 oz. bottle. Received in trade from JB last year. I let it age a year so that it would mellow. Pours a dark black like dirty mortor oil. Thin, light brown head. Nice roasted coffee aroma with alcohol. Very thick mouthfeel, smooth and creamy. Sweetness upfront, but the finish is long and bitter. Alot of warming alcohol.
