Commercial Description:
Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

Bottle. Pours a deep dark brown almost black with a dark chocolatey head. Aroma was mocha, roasted coffee beans, thick espresso. I expected just a little bit more. The taste was thick, sweet, and complex. There are many layers of flavor starting with a sweet sugary taste and finishing with a tinge of alcohol with lots of espresso in between. A thick and creamy beer experience.

Excellent. Rivials Founders breakfast stout. The aromas are strong with coffee, the head is light but creamy. The stout is dark black with coffee, chocolate, and burnt malt flavors. A great beer.

From bottle@RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. A filmy layer of tan bubbles covering a dark brown to near black colored body. Massive coffee aroma. A whiff of bitter chocolate and alcohol. Coffee-flavored. Quite sharp, like bitter coffee ground. Also a distinct roastedness, and a note of burnt caramel. Big body. Roast and coffee in the finish. Tasty and flavorful, a bit edgy on the palate.

Deep black pour with almost no head, instantly dissipates. Deep coffee, slightly smokey aroma. Little carbonation, intense coffee and hops taste. Strong aftertaste of coffee and hops, which turns to smokey coffee.

A pitch black colored beer, with a brown thick foamy head. The aroma of coffee with pure chocolate, dark fruits with some sweets. The taste of chocolate bitter with a little sweet. There is strong coffee and notes of fruits. Alcohol in the back. The aftertaste is bitter from coffee and a little burny

Bomber. Black, opaque body with a short, diminishing tan head. Big aroma of chocolate, black coffee, cream, raosted malts, alcohol, vanilla and wood. The flavor is heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. Full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Promising aroma that anticipates a rich coffee flavor. However, the massive sweetness in the flavor overpowers the coffee. A decadent beer, if you like lots of syrupy sweetness — perhaps in small quantities as a dessert beer.
