Darkish amber beer, just slightly hazy. Soft palate. Full on hops. Briney grapefruit with hints of bitter orange and a little pineapple. Causes the mouth to water. Not sure this is a lager but it’s nice!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Ølbaren
Amber color; creamy head. Mild hop aroma, with mellow fruitiness and apricot jam. Full bodied, but the mouthfeel is a bit oily; it doesn’t have the malty and fruity characteristics of Ales, while the hopping is surely dominant and of good quality: resiny and fruity. The final, although well bitter, is completely lacking of malt backbone. Pleasant, without optimism.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 22oz. It’s hazy, golden colored and with a small, off-white head. The aroma has a pleasant blend of caramel maltyness and resiny hops. Sweet in the mouthm, a bit too sweet maybe, but there’s a solid dose of hops to bring balance. Resins and bitterness. It’s full-bodied and with a pleasant level of carbonation. Bitter and sweet finish. A quite nice one, but sort of too intense on both sweetness and bitterness. Still a beer I wouldn’t mind drinking again. 101015
