3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
amber color; floral hop aroma; piney hops on a medium bodied, bready malt base; bitter finish; pretty easy drinking for such a high gravity beer; well balanced; a lot hoppier than a helles would normally be

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz bottle from Anderson’s Sawmill Rd, Columbus Ohio. Southern Tier Krampus is a darker copper clear brew with a firm head of off white bubbles. Nose is strong, crisp and bitters. Taste is very akin to an English bitter, crisp clean medium malt cereal with back of the sip dry bitters. None of the expected Christmas spice at all, not that it was mentioned anywhere, but I expect it in winter seasonals. Body is a bit lively. A very interesting beer. perhaps my first imperial pils.
