St. Nicholas, aka Santa Claus, is a magical figure, the bringer of gifts and an icon of holiday spirit. Forgotten by most is his evil side kick and enforcer of ‘the list’. European tradition says while St. Nick is busy delivering presents to good little boys and girls, Krampus hands out punishments to the bad. A fanged, goat-horned bully, the Christmas Devil uses sticks and chains to beat the naughty children. Dark malts and aromatic hops create the diabolical spirit of this brew. It is finished with lager yeast and aged cold for no less than 30 days. This Imperial Helles Lager will warm even the darkest hearts. This season, replace the cookies with a bottle of Krampus. If he happens to pay a visit, toast to him with this devilish brew. Merry Kramp-mas to all, and to all a good pint!

Hop forward beer, mild hop aroma. Deep amber color, slightly cloudy. Was expecting something sweet and spiced, nice surprise.

This brew poured a darker orange in color with a fair amount of head that quickly dissipated. The smell was very strong in terms of citrus and floral hops with also a hint of sweet bready malt. The taste really was something special. The sweet malt flavors and a mild citrus bitterness hit you at first. Mid-Drink you are tasting the sweet malt flavors again but the hops are starting to dry your palate out a bit. In the end the dryness and bitterness kicks in at the right time leaving you with a wonderful lingering bitterness that has a sublet sweetness to it. The mouthfeel was medium with a fair amount of carbonation, it really fit the hoppy nature of this beer very well. Drinkability for me as a Hop-Head was very high. This is as close as I’ve tasted to a Christmas DIPA. I see myself buying more of this because I completely enjoyed every sip and was sad when my 22oz bottle was finished!

Appearance: clear, crystal reflection on amber body with mid frothy top. Good lacing noted. Aroma: Wonderful pine and spruce like hop aroma, side of mango fruit follow up by full malts. Splendid blend of fruity sweetness with bittering feel. Flavour/Palate: full bodied. Heavy pale malts. Brew set up is fairly straightforward. Quality excellent presentation of malts and hops with just enough of alcohol to keep this brew going. Brew that borrowed from best , central European soft heavy sweet malts with west coast refreshing hops. .

22oz bottle. Deep amber body, light copper color, thick foamy head. Dry hopped aroma of Pacific Coast hops, loads of citrus and pine in the nose. Thick, hearty body. Sharp bitterness in the finish. Loads of hops. Man, Southern Tier really know how to make a beer! Flavor of leather, toasted bread, white pepper, caramel, cereal, pear, roasted nuts, all under a mouthful of oily hops. Nice grapefruit and pine resin, a blast of Chinook hops. Sticky, bitter, oily, and sweet... all in one beer. Happy Krampus!!!

Poured a really nice copper color with a thin yellow-ish head. Aroma was juicy juicy hops, a lot of citrus and some pine with an undercurrent of malt and caramel. Flavor was almost as juicy as biting into fresh fruit. There was some nice grapefruit hints. Nothing overly bitter. This was a fantastic beer. Really really tasty.

Bomber from Chevy Chase Wine and Liquor. I was extremely happy to see this since I tried to trade for it and failed to acquire it by those means. Pours a lucious amber orange with a nicely laced bubbly tan head. Nose is quite nice, some light spice big malts and a touch of fruit, Possibly a bit of pear as it is the season. Taste is full of big malts spiced and sweet. Just enough spice for me and a lot of nice prickly notes on the tongue. Great overall.

22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber. Quickly dissipating off-white head leaving an oily, soapy residue. Nice lacing. Aroma of citrus and pine hops and bread malts. Very sticky and oily on the palate. Nice carbonation. Taste loads of citrus and pine hops with a nice malty backbone. Bread malts and some spice. Bittersweet lingering finish.
