COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. Nicholas, aka Santa Claus, is a magical figure, the bringer of gifts and an icon of holiday spirit. Forgotten by most is his evil side kick and enforcer of ‘the list’. European tradition says while St. Nick is busy delivering presents to good little boys and girls, Krampus hands out punishments to the bad. A fanged, goat-horned bully, the Christmas Devil uses sticks and chains to beat the naughty children. Dark malts and aromatic hops create the diabolical spirit of this brew. It is finished with lager yeast and aged cold for no less than 30 days. This Imperial Helles Lager will warm even the darkest hearts. This season, replace the cookies with a bottle of Krampus. If he happens to pay a visit, toast to him with this devilish brew. Merry Kramp-mas to all, and to all a good pint!

Pours a gold amber. Very deep color. Decent amount of thick head. Kind of a weird smell of hops and skunk. Tastes of slightly bitter hops, malt, and alcohol. Very unique taste. Almost sweet in the finish. Really unique beer.

Draft at brewpub. Dark amber color with sticky lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and pine hops. Taste of malty sweetness with bitter hop finish. Very unique brew for being called an imperial lager. Quite good

On tap at Uno in North Wales, PA. Had this beer after the holidays so I don't feel that my environment did it justice, but this was another well-crafted brew from Southern Tier.

This pours a hazy, dark amber color with an average, beige head. The aroma is a mixture of sweet malts, hops, and some citrus. The taste is sweet, slightly fruity, and pleasant. There is a slight bitter finish. I agree with the people that say this is more of a Pale Ale/IPA than a Pilsner. Certainly unique, can’t say I’ve had anything quite like it.

22 oz. bottle from Julio’s liquors. Nice amber color with foamy white head that coats the glass. Aroma is sweet with a good citrus hoppiness and maltiness.Taste is simcoe and / or Chinook hops with some toasty malt, light caramel or toffee notes. Bitterness hangs around for a longer duration. Overall this is really well balanced and is really well crafted. I would seek out the Krampus and lay a beat down on him.

On draft. Dark gold with little head. Aroma is biscuity malt and floral hops. Taste is more akin to an IPA than a pilsner. Nice alcohol bite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber. The idea of this beer intrigued me, but I’m not sure it ought to be repeated. Points for adventurousness and creativity, but I can’t get on board completely. So dark yellow it’s almost brown, it has a medium soapy head and laces fairly well, translucent. The aroma is both strong and appetizing. The mouthfeel isn’t great - it’s too bitter for me at the end, kind of like an ill-placed exclamation point - the thing I liked the best about helles is how easy it is to drink, and this is not. The taste itself is ok, quality ingredients are evident, but I’m not sure they mix so well. Nice try, but difficult to recommend.

Bärnstnesfärgad öl med ett livligt äggviteliknande skum . Brödig doft med en viss karamellsötma och en humlebeska som drar åt tallbarr. Detta kommer igen i smaken. Mycket bra för sin typ.
