12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy gold/orange color with a 1/4" white head that settles to a film with little to no lacing. Aroma is nice: citrus, grapefruit, orange - very clean. Medium-full body, taste mimics the aroma. Good bitter hop finish that carries on with the citrus theme. Great beer!

Draft pour. Pours a clear copper with a white head. The aroma is softly fruity and has a touch of sweet tart to it. Maybe also fruity pebbles. Taste is sweet and fruity with a bready finish. Light body and medium carbonation. Really nice APA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a very light pale with light head. Citrus and tropical fruit hop aroma. Taste is lots of grapefruit and grassy hop with bread-like backbone. Palate leaves a lingering taste. A great beer!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice hop aroma and appearance. Even better hop character on the taste, not much else on the palate other than the citrus hop flavor. Solid pale ale.

Bottle to shaker glass. Pours hazy golden, fluffy two finger head, nice lacing, great retention. Aroma of grapefruit. Taste is nicely bitter, just a touch of malt sweetness. Light bodied, lively carbonation, silky mouth feel. Finishes bitter. Tasting notes of grapefruit, lemon, mango and light bread. Some would call this a session IPA, damn good beer.

the name southern tier is so evocative of place. Discovered the brewery many years ago on a family trip to the Berkshires. Went back to the store to get more Southern Tier (unsure what style exactly) and they were sold out. Shows you how desirable their product is. Now finding it on and off in Boston area. This is good stuff. Wish availabilty was consistent.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Gold-orange, cloudy, persistent and especially fine head. Smells great, floral. Tastes sweet and a little savory, less hoppy than the nose would suggest. Resin aftertaste.

Poured a hazy gold color with small white head and lace. Aroma was light grapefruit, bready. Taste was same with a little wheat taste from somewhere. Fairly sweet and a little zing on the tongue. I can’t pick up much yeast buy may e that’s the wheaty note. Not bad but not my fav Southern Tier.
